Batarian Customization / Batarian Sentinel Builds?

All the patterns are ugly, every colour looks washed out and horrid and the econdary colour WAY too bright/vibrant.
I don't know... I was just starting a Batarian Sentinel and it took me forever to try and find a colour scheem that didn't look hidious.
I wish they gave the new ones a new set of armour or something...
What are your armour set ups for that race?
Also some decent Batarian builds would be awesome!

Ugly customization for an ugly people.
Don't talk sh*t about my lovely Batarians!!
...as lame as their color coordination may be.
Yeah I agree with you OP. I can't make any customization look good

Wonder how it would look on an Asari though.
I build melee mix well with krogans - ahh... krogans are cute too...

here some schemes:
- all black, maybe greyish secondary with red pattern and lights. looks very nice
- all black, green highlight. the one that is 3 steps above the misplaced looking blue. stripes 1, color: the green just below the strongest yellow. secondary: just below the black.
to the builds: I had some nice games with BA, Shockwave, passives for weapon damage and fitness for shields/melee. you need some biotics to set stuff up around you and you can walk around and detonate and falconpunch the sh*t outta them. shockwave is also very fun for hatesurfing.
I'm skipping subnet on him because the damage is kinda weak on Gold+. If you're playing silver, you can kinda use it as a poor man's stasis, to set up techbursts and some AOE damage. Pack a graal or GPS for staggering phantoms, then use subnet while they cannot evade, then finish them of.
I also used to play him as a melee only character, but then the broguard came...
for BA I would always go with melee/shield/shield (damage returned is bugged and doesn't work on gold+), and then fitness melee/melee/shield.

our.
Batarians are ugly, pretty much the worst designed race in the ME unniverse. They should have given then helmets, that would have helped.
But hey they are still pretty fun to play, especially the Sentinel who is like the most underrated class in the whole game.
I play mine as a shooter so I ignore the melee in favvour of of fitness and shile recharge delay. I have toyed with no blade armour as well. My last build was Blade Armour 3, Subnet 6, Shockwave 5 (width and reach), Passive 6 (weapon damage, power damage, weapon damage), and Fitness 6, all health and shields. I considered 6 in SN and 5 n everything else to maximise the shield recharge bonus.
I think there is a ton of stuff you can do with him though.

You are right, though, I'd wish they had given the new characters some new armors.
6/0/6/6/6 works nice with a Kishock
6/6/0/6/6 works good in conjunction with other biotics as designated detonator with a shotgun for the CQC.
Otherwise Shockwave and Net to 6 and mix match the others as you see fit. You fill a less specific role and can self-detonate tech-bursts.

Step 1. Equip a close range weapon, preferably a Piranha, Raider or Claymore
Step 2. Put 6 points into fitness, Blade Armor and the class talent
Step 3. Switch to a different class
And there you go!
Seriously - Shockwave is really good as a detonator but completely useless on it's own - safe for setting off fire explosions. Submission net is absolutely, completely outclasses by ANY OTHER POWER in the game. Just don't play this class until these two powers are fixed.

For the sentinel
Blade Armor - 5 (Melee Damage/Shield Recharge)
Shockwave- 6 (Radius/Detonate/Lifting)
Submission Net - 6 (Damage, Damage & Slow, Electric Field)
Batarian Enforcer - 3
Fitness - 6 (Durability, Shield Recharge ((Probably should have gotten Martial Artist but I like fast shield recharge speeds)) and Melee Synergy)
The melee synergy bonus will make up for the lack of weapon damage bonuses from Batarian Enforcer, and it'll be easy to get melee kills with this guy.
For my playstyle I usually stick back and spam submission net while sniping with the kishock and use shockwave to detonate tech and biotic explosions. For closer ranger encounters I bring a shotgun with me too and spam shockwave/melee while the submission nets electric field is up.

Red primary
Black highlight
Black secondary
Black camouflage pattern
Black lights
I don't know about builds. I can never get my BatSent to be somewhere I like.

Seriously when was the last time you used Submission net. I was playing this class all weekend on Gold with a Geth Pulse Rifle. Submission Net is not a poor man's stasis. It has a faster cooldown, does reasonable damage, and has an electric field attack that stuns multiple nearby enemies.
Shockwave. Okay so people dont like this power, whatever. I take 5 levels on this guys, Always Range, level 4 depends on how i'm feeling. What do I like about it, it staggers armoured and shielded enemies, even out of cover. Stagger, shoot to the head. Simple.
What else do I like about it. It detonates tech combos. You can use ammo but you can also help your teammates. This is a team game afterall. And unlike that stupid biotic slash power it won't take you flying into the waiting arms of a Banshee. Try teaming up with a vorcha (or geth) flamer for added dps on bosses.
I just don't understand the hate surrounding this guy. He is a good character, hardly ever goes down. Oddly I was finidng the KroShaman with Barrier up and all the same fitness was falling over all the time by comparison, I can't even figure out why.

1. A few days ago on Platinum, FBW, Cerberus.
2. Those will surely boost your DPS against armor by a huge ammount.
Pro-Tip: Use Incendiary ammo and shockwave for fire explosions.
You can spec him ideally and he will still be outclassed by literally any other character in the game.

The extra spare ammo takes care of the Harriers only drawback, full defense blade armor and shield restore speed in fitness make you very durable. Sub net does ok for both damage and CC. Shockwave can still stagger Phantoms on gold if you take the power damage in the passive instead of headshot.
On platinum I think you need at least 4 ranks in Shockwave to stagger Phantoms without gear and equipment, so you may be better off ignoring Shockwave on a Platinum build that isn't a dedicated CQC detonator.
