I dont have the DLCs yet but i will download all of them and eventually unlock all the bonus powers too, so you can list them too.

A quick question: Where is EDI located?
I have played the game once and did not unlock the two bonus powers of EDI [I dont know where she is located]
Garrus' Proximity Mine and Armor Piercing Ammo.

What are the playstyles?
Recommended Weapons?
" Powers?
" Teamates?
Level-up guide?

Anything and everything is appreciated and no spoilers of any DLC please.

EDI is usually located in the cockpit next to Joker, on the right side.

Sentinel is a very versatile class with many different possible playstyles.

You can go full-on caster, carrying only a pistol for maximum power recharge and spamming warp + throw on everything. Plays much like an adept, but you also have Overload to get rid of shields. Tech Armor is optional with this build, but I like it and never play a Sentinel without it.

You can go the opposite route, playing it like a soldier. Take a full weapons load, the best you have of each type. Throw will be the only really useable attack power you have, and only if you take the "reset after detonation" evolution. You'll want to always have Liara with you to set up biotic bombs. Taking another defensive power like Barrier or Defense Matrix is the best way to go here, for massive DR.

Or you can play it somewhere in the middle, as a hybrid, which is what I like the best. I still use Overload, Warp and Throw for my main offense, but I carry a good, moderate-weight weapon to compliment my powers. I love the Mattock, the Wraith or the Talon for this, and I usually take Warp Ammo for more weapon damage.

Which style you go with depends on which weapons you're better off with. Just avoid the really heavy weapons if you want to spam your powers, which is pretty basic to all classes.

For powers I focus on Tech Armor, Overload, Warp and Throw, then the passives and bonus power in no particular order.

Tech Armor I spec for maximum DR and power damage. The power recharge penalty isn't a big deal if your weapons weight is sensible. I rarely detonate it, I don't even map it to a hotkey.

Overload I prefer Chain, Recharge, and Shield Damage. Moderate CC but mainly for stripping shields.

Warp is a debuff and biotic set-up. Detonate, Expose, Pierce.

Throw is your detonator, for either biotic bombs or tech bursts if you Overload first. Radius, Detonate, Double.

I spec the class passive for power damage and weight capacity, and Fitness is maximum health and shields.

I have a harder time making use of Cryoblast and Lift grenades. They aren't bad powers at all, just don't fit my style as well.

For bonus powers I prefer an ammo (Warp) or a defense power (Barier). I think Sentinels don't need another active power, but Reave or Stasis can work very well if you want to go that way.

For teammates I prefer Garrus and Liara. Garrus is another Overload plus high weapon damage. Liara is CC and helps with biotic bombs. Both can provide a squad ammo if you don't have one of your own. But really, any squad works with a Sentinel. Take who you like and they'll fit right in.

If you ever don't know where someone is, bring up your Map and cycle through it.

If you play the Sentinel with a heavy weapon load, make sure to take grenades, since they don't require cooldown.

I knew I was forgetting something about that build! I only played it that way once. Thank you for adding that.

Talk to your squadmates. After every single mission, and when they invite you to the Citadel, never decline!
Oh and be nice to the Virmire Survivor.

Ashley Williams: Marksman and Inferno Grenade
Kaidan Alenko: Reave and Barrier
James Vega: Carnage and Fortification

Liara T'Soni: Stasis and Warp Ammo
Garrus Vakarian: Proximity Mine and Armour Piercing Ammo
EDI: Decoy and Defence Matrix
Tali Zorah: Defence Drone and Energy Drain

Javik [From Ashes DLC required]: Dark Channel, Slam

You get the rest by completing DLC (I think)

Leviathan DLC: Dominate
Omega DLC: Flare and Lash and Biotic Protector (I think. I haven't played Omega DLC yet)

Depends. If you want to know, bring up the map of the Normandy. It will tell you where the squadmates are.
She can be in different places on the Normandy at different points in the game like any other squadmate.
She is normally located in the cockpit next to Joker. Sadly that is the closest Seth Green got to dating Tricia Helfer.Posted Image

What are the playstyles?

Well there are thousands...

But the two main ones are Mage and Walking Tank.

Mage focuses on powers and only occasionally uses tech armour (usually for the detonation). This is probably the best way to play the class. Carry light weapons (keeping your cooldown bonuses as high as possible).

Walking Tank focuses on carrying the best guns, having tech armour and a second defenive power (barrier, defence matrix or fortification) active at all times. Throw specked for fastest possible recharge, and (Liara, Javik or Kaidan) are used to setup biotic explosions, leaving you to detonate with throw. Also use your grenades frequently.

If you're going for walking tank [which I don't recomend] take a few tips from Kronner. Don't get me wrong, it's an effective build, but I can't help but feel you could do a whole lot better. (This does however remind me of the Immunity Spamming Soldier from Mass Effect 1).

But why restrict yourself to two playstyles? Experiment and see what works best for you.

SWkazashi wrote...  Recommended Weapons?

For mage style gameplay, anything that is light.
If you're going for a Kronner heavy assault build, pack only the best guns.

Sniper Rifle: Raptor or Incisor are probably the best choices. Since they're both pretty versatile. Mantis is the lightest sniper rifle that fires like a sniper rifle (Single shot. Not burst fire, automatic or semi automatic).

Assault Rifle: Mattock (with a scope and armour piercing mod). This weapon alone covers all the possible roles. I recommend this one, simply because, you can equip a Mattock and not need any other gun. Maybe a side arm if you run out of ammo.

Avengers and Geth Rifles are decent. If you can handle the recoil then Revenant is probably the gun for you. The Pheston is also a solid choice. There are no bad assault rifles, but some are just straight up better than others.

Shotguns: Because of the tech armour, sentinels are probably a good choice for close quarters combat. But bring a second defenive power such as barrier, fortification or defence matrix.

Wraith, eviscerator scemitar and diciple are all light weapons. Effective at both point blank and close range.

For more mid range weapons, geth plasma shotgun and graal are incredibly effective. Sure you want to get close if you're wielding a shotgun, but with enemies such as phantoms and banshees that have those annoying one hit kills melee attacks, getting too close can be very risky.

Speaking of getting too close, if you're an aggressive in your face player who doesn't fear the phantom's sword or the banshee's magnetic hands, claymore is the way to go. Don't consider any other shotgun. If you want

Sub Machine Guns: Locust or tempest are both good for getting shields down quickly. Hornet is probably the best SMG you can get without any DLC. (but personally I don't like burst fire weapons). I think the suiken is a bit on the weak side, but some people will defend this gun to the death.

Pistols: I don't recommend the predator or the arc pistol. However all other pistols are fine in my book.

Carnifex and Paladins are great damage dealers that can punch a hole in armour.
Phalanx is like carrying a mini mattock. Very versatile. In fact, you could equip this as your sole weapon. Even if you decided not to use your powers (I can't imagine why you'd not use your powers), the phalanx with a scope is all you really need to beat insanity (though obviously without using your powers, it will be a bit challenging).

SWkazashi wrote... " Powers?

Your power set is so good that you're set for all situations. So bonus powers are not needed.

However you could ditch cryo blast and use stasis  (with bubble evolution) instead.
Or you could bring a defenive bonus power to supplement tech armour.
Or you could bring an ammo power to boost your weapon damage (the sentinels main weakness)
Or if you love grenades, you can boost your capacity by bringing inferno grenades.
Or you could boost marksman, borrow an ammo power from a squadmate and lay waste the competition.

From your power set:

Tech armour is your main defencive power. You can use it so that you can take more hits, or detonate it when enemies get too close.
Warp is good for debuffing enemies (particularly if you're going to use guns a lot). Warp also does heavy damage to armour.
Throw is good for biotic detonations when preceeded by warp.
Overload is fantastic against shields and barriers. You can also spec it for neural shock to get some crowd control.
Cryo blast can weaken armour, freeze unprotected targets and slow down enemies. This power is also a good choice if you choose the sniping route.
Lift grenade is self explanatory.

Well what I'm about to say applies to all classes.

Biotic Explosions: Liara and Javik, or Liara and Kaidan, or Kaidan and Javik.
Tech Bursts: Bring Tali with sabotage (specked for tech vulnerability) and bring either EDI or Garrus for their overload.

Heavy Assault: James and Garrus, James and Ashley, Garrus and Ashley.

Anti-Geth: Ashley (with squad disruptor ammo) and Tali.
Anti-Reaper: Bring James Vega for his squad incendiay ammo and bring Liara/Javik/Kaidan so that you can perform some biotic explosions.
Anti-Cerberus: Bring Liara for stasis bubble. This will deal with pesky guardians and phantoms.

SWkazashi wrote... Level-up guide?

Don't sweat it. By the time you reach level 30, your character is already over powered.
The important thing is that you know what the powers do, and you know which powers best fit your playstyle.
Pay close attention to evolutions 4, 5 and 6 and evolve powers according to your preferences.

You don't need a level-up guide.
What you need is to plan your build in advance.
