Why is everyone saying the game is bad/has bad graphics? It does not!!!

I think everyone defaulting to a low resolution and low detail may be the cause of the complaints.

IMO the graphics are not revolutionary or anything but they are fine, they do not hinder play at all and they look nice enough. But really the story is where it is at.

Honestly, I was a little disappointed in the graphics. They aren't FANTASTIC and they also aren't blah. I acquiesce it my be my graphics card. It's not a top-of-the-line card- 8500 GT.
Not a top of the line card? That's being absolutely generous.
That card is a steaming pile of sub-medium ranged GPU that's rather out of date.

2 is a known issue, 3 is a config or user's computer problem, the textures arnt loading.
And I would post my screenies but they arnt uploading to the site atm. And I'm not posting from my home computer.

A lot of the game looks and plays TERRIFIC..i love the game, but I am not going to lie to myself and say those textures aren't horrendous.
Also Frame-Buffer is seriously flawed as I have said before in another post...it makes things look much worse and ruins the lighting that was intended.

I am playing at max res, maxed everything and the game plays smooth as butter and looks amazing. I think most people that complain are new to PC gaming because I just can't see where they get off saying this game looks bad.
Not everyone can agree on the same things, can they? Because someone does not like the graphics,it does not mean they are new to PC gaming. From what i have seen, the graphic are not as amazing as you are making out.

Until someone posts a picture of ANY wagon in the game that looks good..then your statement is invalid. There is no proof there is a bug with the texture..and also why is it happening to everyone? I have run into three wagons in the game so far in three different areas..and that is how the texture looks. God I HOPE that is a bug or something..because that texture is HORRIBLE.
But until someone posts a picture that shows otherwise or Bioware admits this is some sort of error, I will continue to say that this texture is flat out bad and inexcusable really.
And I AM a BioWare fanboy..I absolutely love them, and I Love this game..and I think most of it looks terrific and the voices are the best I've heard in any game..but it doesn't cover the bad textures..thank God I found the frame-buffer thing because turning it off makes a huge difference.

Sheylan, the third pic is mine. If it's a loading issue then explain to me and others how to fix it. Not a single game I run has issues of textures not loading correctly, I run every game smoothly with my decent rig. Everything is up to date driver wise. I call it's the game. As I have mentioned, someone else please take a screenshot in the first swamp area as you enter with the wagon, and show please its not a low res wagon..then we can go from there to fix the problem
Exactly...and again it's not a huge deal...but there are so many or at least a noticable amount of wagons in the game that I don't see how anyone testing this game could not see that texture and think..whoa...this has got to be changed. It's one thing to have flat textures without a look of bumpmapping (not sure if there is or not), but even then you cane make something look nice with a hi-res texture.. and in this case..all of the above is lacking.
Flat texture: Check
Blurry texture: Check
low res texture: Check
Bad texture: Check

Hey skullreaver, we aren't noobs or little kids. None of us aren't saying the game isn't great, it's the textures on objects that arent either loading correctly or are low res in places. Get off your high horse and understand we are gamers. Gamers who understand that this issue is apparent and it does effect immersion when everything looks great on the characters and then there's the eyesore low res blob that sticks out next to them. To anyone not seeing this please post screenshots to counter what we have posted and prove us wrong, otherwise you have no merit here!

Exactly..I have backed DA:O for years and I have stood up for the game and it's graphics in the past. I am in no way trying to bash BioWare or the game or anything like that. I absolutely love this game..it is amazing. But that's no excuse for bad textures. I'm playing along and all the sudden I see the most horrendous texture in the background and it really REALLY detracts from everything..it makes me think of that instead of whatever is going on...and there's just no reason...it could have easily been made better than what it is in some instances.
Again, a lot of the game looks terrific..I just finished the Lady of the Forest quest and things looked terrific under there. Awesome lighting and some great textures. There were still some low-res textures down there that didn't look that great..but overall it looks stunning..which makes me wonder how some of the bad textures got missed.. ?
I would just like devs to answer about some of them and how they are so poor, and also an answer to why frame-buffer looks so bad?
