Also, would possible that if companions die in this mode they stay dead.
Thanks for reading.

As long as it wasn't linked to difficulty, I'd be okay with it.

1)make a new character
2)remove everything cloth, weapons
3)save the game
4)charge agaisnt an enemy 2 levels higher that the character.
After that character dies, save the game.
5) create a new character, repeat.
Wouldn't that be simpler?

As for the main character... I suppose you could choose not to hit Resume or Load game if you die on your own? =)

Why won't you do the following:
1)make a new character
2)remove everything cloth, weapons
3)save the game
4)charge agaisnt an enemy 2 levels higher that the character.

5) create a new character, repeat.

No, it sounds needlessly complicated:)
Seriously tho, I lack the willpower to delete a game I have spent hours playing.

Would it be possible for Dragon Age to add a optional mode where if your character dies, your forced to start the game over?

A permadeath mode like the roguelikes have? Sure. They can include it, I just won't use it. I find I tend to get too emotionally invested in my characters to want to do something like that. Imagine surviving forty hours only to die and be forced to start over again, no reloads, character is deleted forever... yeah... fuuuuuun...

Or you just start a new game everytime your character dies? Same result, less unnecessary work for Bioware.
In theory,I could.
In practice I couldn't, because I would put too much effort into that character, that I couldn't purposely delete the save.

But you do have the will power to play a mode that will delete the character you worked so hard on for you?

Yes, I because I would pick the mode at the beginning.
Its easy to not care about long work before you do it.

complicated? How so? is fun!, try it for days, you'll see!
I never said delete....
edit: if you think you'll forget any of the steps just write them down in a piece of paper and glue it on the computer or tv screen. oh! sizes matter so for the TV use a page size 10
26 × 37 1.02 × 1.46 31 × 44 1.22 × 1.73 28 × 401.10 × 1.57
Computer screen can be a bit trickier but I recomend using a page size 9:
37 × 52 1.46 × 2.05 44 × 62 1.73 × 2.44 40 × 57 1.57 × 2.24

If BioWare did make the game according to your spec, what would you expect to get out of it? A more "immersive" role-playing experience? It's easy enough to roleplay that fallen characters have been knocked unconscious, but there is no way that reloading an earlier save can do anything *but* drag you out of the moment and remind you that it's just a game. Artificial difficulty? There's nothing satisfying about that. The ability to ditch unwanted companions? If that's what you're after, it would be better (and more honest) to request a "no mandatory companions" policy. Bragging rights? No one cares.MichaelStuart wrote...

Personally, I like it when characters fall in combat and get back up when it's done, but maybe that's because I right fanfic. Narrow victories and fail-y protagonists are more fun to write about than juggernaughts who roll over everything like a steamroller.

I want it for the optional challenge of playing a game with the threat of losing hours of work. So as you said artificial difficulty. (although I don't see what would be artificial about it?)
