Nomad... but that's because post retalliation, the difficulty spike on Silver made me think that Gold would be the new platinum. Now that I've been playing more Gold and the occasional Platinum, I'm realising that that was a mistake. Nomad is the only banner I have left in order to finish the Mass Effect challenge.

Still got N7 and Commando although I've almost finished Commando. It's a bit of a chore but the characters in it are decent enough. Outsider was more painful (I went for it early on because I like the picture). Nomad requires a fair number of gold or platinum games so some people might never get there. Lone Wolf requires a couple of gold solos so some people might never do that.

N7 Banner by far. I have everything completed but N7 Mastery and it's taking forever.

Only 4 more promotions..... Never going to promote again. Never.
Just one game left  to get the Commando banner (Asari Justicar/Disciple). But boy what a pain. It felt like ...forever to get it.
Oh, and the "Outsider " sits at 1/7. The one completed is the Talon.

N7: Character XP cards are pretty rare already, even more so when you have max appearances.

Commando: Waves and waves, which you can cut short by using the Disciple...

Reaper Mastery, Combat Mastery, and any of the challenges that require you to play 200 waves with a multitude of characters.

Oh, and Collector Mastery, if you're on the PS3. 50% of my matches vs Collectors end up freezing.

Lone Wolf takes skill, but I'd still take one of the 200 wave grinders as the hardest...For me the Monster was a ****. Lone Wolf...if you know what you're doing, you can get it done in an hour (the two Gold solos) and the 3 remaining Silver solos are not even worth mentioning, along with the 8 Bronze ones.
Nomad comes "naturally" if you're a regular Gold player.
So for me...defienetly Blood Pack and N7 Mastery.

Easily this, if you put your total focus on completing 1 banner, this one is the one that would take the longest.
It's not even an opinion, it is a fact.

For me, the promotions. I'm closing in on having the rest all done -- I need a fair number of waves for Outsider, and have a couple of subchallenges to polish off for each of the DLC challenges -- but I've only got like 9 of the 60 promotions. I hate playing with gimped characters, so I may never do it. In a week or so (my playtime is limited) that's all I'll have left, and that'll probably be the case in perpetuity.

Ive done them all and its N7 mastery......by a huge margin. Huge.

Commando Mastery for me. Too many waves... I like the characters in there for the most part, but 200 waves = 20 (successful) games =~ 400 minutes if you don't ever stop playing so that's really about 8-10 hours PER CHARACTER depending on how long you wander in lobbies or wipe games.

Map Mastery is also very long but I don't really care about it, I'll probably grind it a bit once only a few maps are left.

Am just following on from your points, and doing some math for it.

Let's assume averaging 250K points per match between Bronze (Levels 1-10)/Silver (Levels 11-16) /Gold (Levels 16+), and assume said player doesn't have friends to help carry them on Gold, and is otherwise a fairly average player).

That's 10 matches, or 100 waves per promotion.

60 promotions x 100 waves = 6,000 waves.

Assuming you don't buy your way to it.

That certainly puts the 1400 waves for Commando Mastery into perspective which someone mentioned above.

Nomad/Map Mastery can be done in 1,400 Gold Waves.

Whichever way you cut it, unless you can't solo Gold with a Kroguard/Reegar/Geth for Solo Mastery, then N7 Mastery is easily the longest/grindiest Banner to achieve.
