If only I could have yesterday. I was soloing on Vancouver as a Volus Nutcruncher and got escort as my wave 10 objective.
Needless to say it started on the raised bit at the top of the long ladder so I had to run around the map just to get to it. I died twice halfway up the ladder and used a missile to clear the way, and when I got to the top I had to use another one. The drone began to move to the right, towards the destination at the top of the ramp in the extreme right corner, but as soon as I left the raised area I was outside its contact range so it just sat there, refusing to budge. After a couple of minutes it seemed to disappear into the map completely and there was nothing I could do but kill stuff while waiting out the time. Mission failed.
Working as intended I guess, so no more Volus solo attempts on Vancouver for me!

Yeah drone objectives REALLY don't seem to like that ramp on Vancouver.
