I agree its tough to transition at first. Squadmate AI is retarded, no kill feed, easy-mode (Insanity), and the the whole ending thing (If taken literally - <Vomits>)

Its like they want us to forget about SP and just play MP... wait a minute... EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not in the least, for me! Played a lot more multiplayer than single player, but I cranked Omega up to insanity and loved every second.

It's changed how I play the single player. Max difficulty feels like I'm soloing Silver at lower levels, or duoing it at higher ones, and I've grown to really enjoy assigning powers to buttons at the start of each level and sticking to those, but ruined it? Not even close. I think I get a little more out of the combat, now, if anything. Given me the courage to crank the difficulty up and get strategising.

Well considering my dude is a level 60 infiltrator and I bought the weapons packs I can use pretty much any weapon I want fully upgraded plus have like 6 or 7 of my own abilities fully upgraded plus the abilities of my two squadmates. So SP feels OP as ****.

That many powers just feels so........ Empowering.

Overload, thow, pull, throw, singularity, warp, singularity, warp, area reave, cluster grenade, cluster grenade, cluster grenade, slam, area reave, cluster grenade, singularity, warp, cluster grenade, cluster grenade, overload, warp, throw, singularity, slam.

Boom, I just defended the Missles on Insanity. Liara and Kaiden are practically an Adepts best squad mates in. Y opinion.

Like everyone else said, I miss the killfeed. Spent the first couple of enemies wondering why I was such a rubbish shot, before I realised that you don't get any notification when you kill stuff :pinched:

Also found it significantly easier, to the point where I only died in one place while going through Omega (the last battle), although I did die a few times there. Other than that I only hit shield gate a couple of times, and never health gate.

I was using my infiltrator, and found the shield gate really annoying. Still on the pre-balance change version, so you can't do any damage through shields. Also, I used five powers total: cloak (obviously), energy drain (needed it with shield gate and my widow...), disruptor ammo (and I occasionally forgot to use it), a sticky grenade (note the singular...) and sabotage (about four times, because I felt like I should be able use it well. It didn't work). Hardly ever used the power wheel.

I bought ME3 for single player but I haven't finished it. When I started with MP I was hooked, and here I am.

Never Played Single player for ME3 so yeah

I hate players like you. The ones that forego SP to just play MP. You're the reason why so many developers are adding MP to their games and thus cutting from resources and making SP worse.

In my case, I'm trying to get all my current incarnations of Commander Shepard through ME2 first. Keep getting distracted by shiny objects, but I do have four left.

Edit: I did play one of my Sheps through to the point where I could see the refitted Normandy, as in board it and walk around. "What have they done with my ship?!"

(Okay, my main complaint was the lack of extended fuel tanks from the 2nd game. Unless there's an upgrade I can get I might put that back via coalesced editing. 1500 is good. Commander Shepard will be pleased.)

I'd say SP ruined MP a bit, at least in my case. I hadn't play MP before finishing SP, and I once suspend playing SP and play other game instead.

Insanity in SP is roughly equivalent to MP Silver. Way too easy (and boring as hell). Strange to think, at one time, I used to find Hardcore - and sometimes Normal - a real challenge.

MP has made me a much better player. I never thought I'd say this, but I may be done with SP. I hope the next MP is standalone.

Ruin? No. Take time getting adjusted to? Yes! Thankfully I did this in Leviathan a while ago. lol

No kill feeds, no ops packs, no medigels to revive yourself, no one to revive you, AI partners that's not the greatest and 1 less than MP's usual, less arsenal, lower level weapons coz I play in normal. Might change that after I get meticulous.
Also not being quarian. I kinda missed that. The accent, and all.

I popped on an old, and wrong save, and had From Ashes, Leviathan and Omega ahead of me. I did Leviathan, got Dominate.

As an engineer, I grouped with Tali, and EDI as much as I could through those DLCs, and practically had an army with me at all times between myself, Tali, Edi, Dominate, Sabotage, Combat Drone, Sentry Turret, Tali's combat drone, Defense Drone, and Decoy. :P

Everything but the last battle in Omega was something of a joke as I gleefully turned my enemy against eachother, and harassed'em with pets. I practically felt like a new class.

My Femshep would be -so- OP in MP. Especially vs Cerberus. I wield power there that I'll probably never have in MP.

So, ruined? No. Just diffirent.

Not to sound butthurt but the ending of SP hurt itself. I enjoyed the EC, to me it helped clear it up, and MP provided the fun ME3 SP had til you finished the game.

From now on I can't see another Mass Effect game, the history of the galaxy has been told and there is nothing much you can do now. MP wise they can do "alot", but then Mass Effect wil ltrun into the typical MP instead of its story driven action and roleplaying.

I love the MP, I miss my 1st times of nolstagia through ME3, but SP ruined itself... MP was just a way to get away from it all, and it did well.

EDIT: And yeah, very different playing MP from SP... I find myself destroying incredibly easy enemies, SP feels like borderline Bronze to Silver even on higher difficulties.

Seriously? Has no one else noticed that he said Cluster Grenades are MP only?

To be honest, I've never played an Adept in the campaign.  I started playing this series in ME2 and Adepts seemed kind of gimped in the higher difficulties in that game.

class ranking in Mass Effect 3:

Infiltrator
Sentinel
Adept
Vanguard
Soldier
Engineer.

Adept is the 3rd strongest, and only marginally worse than sentinel (Squishy, no overload. That's it)
I'm surprised you think Adepts suck. Ever tried spamming BEs?

MP ruined SP for me, but because of how ridiculously easy SP is now. Insanity SP feels like a Bronze game in terms of enemy numbers, with Silver level health/damage, while Shepard him/herself is incredibly overpowered. My Infiltrator Shepard was killing everything short of bosses in 1-2 shots of a Valiant V. Without Tactical Cloak.

MP didn't ruin SP for me but i do miss my alien characters. They are definitely going to have to make a higher difficulty than insane for ME4.

Single player ruined single player for me. Stupid ending. But replay is hard after MP - I want to switch characters.

I play primarily snipers. All my primary playthroughs of all the ME single-player games have always been with infiltrator snipers. Multi-player has made me work without the single-player's concentration module. Now when I play single-player and time dilates when I zoom in it freaks me out.

I thought that ME3's SP was too easy to begin with. The game's Insanity difficulty has gotten progressively simpler from title to title. While combat certainly became more interesting in ME3, it definitely didn't get any more difficult.

After so many hours of MP, SP has become even simpler. Suddenly I can pause the combat and use any assortment of my three characters' powers that I want to cause BEs galore? How am I supposed to lose?

I play ME's SP for the story and character interactions, though. Combat is a distant second.

I for sure can't watch Omega walkthroughs on youtube. The sheer doziness of the combat scenes kills me.

Good job Bioware, your chances of me buying the DLC have gone through the roof.

But I wouldn't say that MP killed SP for me, it's rather that I know what is going to happen and while I could ignore that in ME 1 and 2, that somehow keeps me from playing the SP campaign in ME 3.

Btw, am I the only one who thinks that Omega features a certain enemy unit that would've been a much better addition to MP than a certain brainless unit we're having now? (Trying to keep this spoiler-free...)

It was weird playing a infiltrator without a claymore for once. I also forgot how slow cooldown powers were for squadmates. My Fury spoiled me.

Though SP ruined itself for me long before MP came into the picture for me. A'zing.

I played Omega yesterday and was like "Yay, look at all the ammo crates - bring on the masses!" but everything just melted away against Engineer Shepard. Played hardcore, are there more enemies on Insanity?
Next time ima do a Vanguard Insanity again - but with Reave! On my last run I couldn't unlock it. They won't ever know what hit them.

MP has really spoilt me for SP.
