I don't know if this is just me, but I remeber playing Dragon Age Origins and barely being able to stay alive on Normal mode. Most of the time I was on easy mainly because I'm just a noob when it comes down to it. I frankly like it this way, where I actually have to think about my next move knowing that if I make the wrong one im screwed.
Then I played through DA2. I started on easy as I got used to the game, but as I continued playing I was constantly turning up the difficulty because it was TOO easy even for a nub like me. It got to the point where I could play on Nightmare and never die.

I guess I just was Bioware to bring back difficulty in DA3. Playing on Nightmare mode and being bored just gets a little ridiculous to me.

However, I want to know if anyone else felt this way? Or am I the only one?

I felt both games were abit easy, but DA2 was alot easier than DA:O was, I guess. I hope there is a bigger gap between difficulties in DA3.

One of the reasons is that DAO had friendly fire on Normal, Hard and Nightmare. DA2 only had friendly fire on Nightmare. For some gamers the contrast on DA2 was higher than on DAO, because of the friendly fire or lack thereof.

The strategies you used for DAO only had to be tweak for the higer levels. DA2 on the other hand required different strategies between Normal and Nightmare for some gamers. For example giving Fenris Scythe on Normal was fine. Giving Fenris Scythe on Nightmare he could end up doing more damage to the party than the enemy.
