Which decade? If you meant 2001-2010 then I'm afraid there're a lot of other games better than Mass Effect 2, like Portal or Half-Life 2. The first Mass Effect is a good game, but to be honest, it has too many bugs. If you meant 2011-2020 then...uh... it's been only 2 years! Besides, ME2 it's an excellent game but not a perfect one, and ME3..well, I unistalled it several months ago.

Yes, best game of the decade. I actually started with ME2 while searching on Steam for games because I was bored. The trailer did it for me.

After 5 minutes in the game I bought ME1, I was missing something.

Still, ME2 is the best game ever for me.

People here don't care about story, characters, world setting or any of the stuff that is important to a story. BSN likes their alien sex and romances.

Half Life 2 is so good, just played through it again and had a time.

I like ME2, but I do not wish to offer my encouragement or support to Bioware any longer, as they do not seem to want it.

 After thinking about it, I enjoyed most of the games on that list and thought they deserved it.
[I voted for Half Life 2, Portal, ME2, RDR, and Batman (I voted for more than one game, sue me!)] 
If any game (that wasn't on this list) that the people here mentioned in this thread that I feel does deserve a nomination, would be Okami. That's the game that does deserve some love.   Although, I'm also surprised to not see Fallout 3 on this list either (really loved that game).  
I found Skyrim to be -very- overrated and I'm glad to not see it on this list. But, if I have to choose an Elder Scrolls game, I would choose Oblivion over Skyrim.

Only roughly 1/3 of the options on that list have a right to be on there.  C'est la vie.

Voted ME2. I would have voted HL2, but it doesn't deserve to be the best because it was never completed.

but I have always considered MGS4 the game of the decade,with Fallout:New Vegas a close second

Sorry OP, but with games like Portal, Half-Life2, Shadow of the Colossus and Bioshock, ME2 doesn't hit game of the decade. A good game? Yes. Best of the decade worth?? No.

So many butthurt ITT. Voted for ME2 because I like it better than Half-Life 2 / Portal2 / Arkham City / Bioshock / Assassin's Creed (those games are as good imo).
