Was torn between Shadow of the Colossus and Wind Waker.. Had to go with Wind Waker. Sorry, ME2 doesn't even come close to these two games!

Been wandering what this "Shadow of the Colussus" game was, as I've never heard of it before. a quick asking of the oracle tells me it's a Play Station game (2, specifically) - case closed. Never owned a PS, nor plan to (or any other console other than our Wii that is mainly for the kids).

For this decade? No.

We're only in 2012, wait at least until sometime in December 2020 and we can come up with our best game of the decade. But I wouldn't go with ME2 anyway. And, side note, ME1 isn't part of this decade, it was released in 2007. This decade you ask a best game for starts in January 2010. The only thing I can say of ME2 for this decade however is that it was most likely the biggest release to start the decade in video gaming, since it was released literally in January 2010, pretty much starting this video gaming decade with a nice bang, if anything.

EDIT: Sorry, my mistake you asked for the last decade (2000 to 2010) I see. I still wouldn't go with ME2 then. I would probably go with ME1 or DAO... difficult choice.

Not sure why I would vote ME2 game of the decade, when its not even the best game in the Mass Effect trilogy. Hell, KotoR is better than ME2. It was released in 2003.

And what are the guidelines of Game of the Decade? From 2002-2012? If that's the case are we going to do it every year? Will we have a Game of the Decade next year from 2003-2013? And if it is, wouldn't this years Game of the Decade be the same as next years Game of the Decade unless a game comes out next year that is the best in the last 10 years?

Makes no sense. That's why Game of the Decade should be held every 10 years (2000-2010, 2010-2020 etc etc)....and that's why there's just the Game of the Year.

They did an HD re-release of Shadow of the Colossus and Ico  for the PS3 a couple years back (they're by the same developers and are both beautiful, incredible games).

I guess if you're averse to any non-Nintendo console, then your SOL, but that's a shame because you're really missing out on a masterpiece.

It's pretty obvious that whoever at EW put together this list doesn't know jack about games. Lack of any Halo or GTA game is a pretty glaring flaw, as well as Oblivion or Skyrim.

Anyway, if forced to choose from that list, I'd go with Half Life 2, with Arkham City a close second.
