*Sigh* My faith in Bioware is almost shot. I mean, yeah, they make great games...but this...this is...absolutely horrendous.

When was the last time a big-name company made a last minute push-back on a game/sequel/add-on?

Blizzard (every patch)

Oh yeah... Now I remember why I don't like them...

At any rate, I just wanna go back and give my other characters a reason to exist. If not, then I'm just gonna start playing Demons Souls.

You have two weeks, Bioware. Two weeks.

Date of release is tomorrow their time.

As I said earlier, did you seriously expect it to be released midnight european time?

I can quite honestly say that I did not expect the nigh-comical level of unprofessionalism I just saw evidenced by this company, yes.

I don't even really care about the DLC that much, by all accounts it's going to be even less content-filled than Warden's Keep, and I'm not saying that as a slight on WK.  Mostly I'm loving the "This means that they really care about the bugs and that there will be no bugs, yay I support!" responses.  The fact that there are even "bugs" to be tweaked at this late in the game is, again, evidence that they knew long before the night prior to release (how's that?), maybe even at the time the date was set, that they weren't going to get it out on time.

Dude, whilst I did say that about the bugs thing earlier, that was just me making an assumption.

I totally agree the way it has been posted is wrong and considering the mess that happened last week regarding the "Mass Effect Save Transfer" issue, I would have thought Chris would have ensured he had all the information before posting.

One other thing I should point out that I do know (from the issues that occurred with the Mass Effect issue), Bioware was shut last week. So today would have been most of their staffs first day back.

How do they mess up a 30 minute quest that's already been in the works for two months?

And its only a DLC, what's the hold up? Nobody from biowared is offering any explanations.

It's not the $5.00, it's the fact that they can take the payment but not provide the product.  Would you pay for $5.00 for gas, and be content if the cashier told you that you couldn't have your fuel, and to come back at a later date for it?

You know if this is how they handle a 1 hour DLC, I dread to think what is gonna happen with anything longer.

TBH they have exposed their developement team as incompetent and pretty rubbish at the end of the day. They cant even release a 1 hour DLC (Not even 1 hour if you play fast apparently) properly.

i say again, it's not even the 5th of January in north america yet. shut yer traps and quit this sad sad drama about a 1 h DLC. it's in the works. we'll have it. BioWare still cares for the PC players and don't look like they're going all EPIC/Bungie about things. so show a little respects. also may i suggest going outside for a walk? spending time with real ppl maybe?

Heh, funny story, I didn't even know about the DLC until about 2 and a half weeks ago. So I'm not terribly depressed.

But I HAVE beaten the game twice already...and I really don't like waiting...

if i were you guys i'd shut it. BioWare is one of the last developers who actually give a crap about thier PC fanbase...unlike the douchness that EPIC and Bungie have become...

Since when have EPIC and Bungie been PC developers?! (EDIT: For clarification, I'm aware EPIC did Unreal, what I mean by this comment is that while Bungie and EPIC have both been PC developers in the past, they're both about as far from a PC developer as you can get at the moment).

This doesn't reflect on Bioware as a whole, either. Or, at least, not in my mind. Mass Effect 2 and, God willing, SWTOR will both be stellar games - you can almost put money on it. Bioware are a great games studio who do exceptional work, but historically they haven't had such a good run with DLC. Expansions, yes, but not DLC.

It's alright, relax. Bioware are still Bioware - but watching people cry foul is pretty funny.

like DLC that lets Tali'Zorah nar Rayya wear Morrigan's dress O.O?

Haha, well first they need to actually release the DLC before ME2 hits the shelves and considering the current record, I'm not holding my breath :P At least, we'll get ME2 at the end of month which is always something B)

With how this is going Mass Effect 2 is the next delay. LOL.

And they will announce it's delay six hours before it is to be put on the shelves. There will be no mention as to what is wrong, but they will demand every store send back all the copies. The press release will state "We are sorry for this delay, for unforseeable events have forced us to stop all shipements and receive back the games that were already in the stores possession. We will do daily updates on our site so that fans can be aware of when they may pick-up their pre-purchases"

Then after two weeks, there is not not one daily update!

(omg, I can do it too!)

Let me get this right, you are comparing the 1 hour (not even) DLC with a super huge piece of software that is WoW?

Get real man. If this game had the WoW developement team, we would of had several 5+ hour long good DLC's already.
