So you're saying it's not ok to bash a company for delaying a highly-expected DLC ON THE DAY OF RELEASE, with absolutely no warning beforehand or any explanation on why at all? Even an ambiguous statement like legal issues would be better than that.

People have a legitimate reason to be peeved at this turn of events, so get off your high horse.

First, I am pretty sure the notification of delay came the day before the release, not the day of. Second, stuff happens, man.  I've worked in a variety of industries, including IT, and sometimes stuff just happens.  If it hasn't happened to you already, it will.  You'll be expected to turn something in, you'll have promised to have it ready, then something will happen, you'll be late. Unless you're running a nuclear generator or a plutonium purification plant, life will likely go on.  =) Third, I have no horse - high or otherwise. This is an issue I've discussed with my parents, often and at great length (though not as much since my 12th birthday). 

You (and others) absolutely have a right to be "peeved."  I have an equal right to think both your peeved-ness and the way you express it is goofy. No amount of freakout here is going to change anything except your blood pressure.

Just out of curiosity, when did "I have a right to my opinion" start meaning the same thing as "you having a different opinion than me means you're stomping all overy my soul - so stop it and agree with me or I'll scream louder, you big mean jerk with your big stupid face?"
