Not sure which real world you're refering to but in corporate america people fail upwards for this sort of thing all the time. I garuntee you some one is getting a promotion right now for "handling this delicate situation with tact and grace". Not to say that I've had 20 years experience with this sort of thing... 21 actualy but. I doubt anyone will be sacked over a few angry net nerds posting about how much xyz developer sucks when the majority of posts regarding the delay show no insight into the software or tech industry as a whole. Bottom line. Content will be delivered. Consumers will buy it. BioWare will continue to create games that instantaneously turn into gold. As it should be.

That's what most of us are losing our minds about - the fact that we got a quick note saying it was delayed, and then nothing. We're not losing our minds about the DLC itself - at least, I'm fairly sure we aren't - but it's the fact that this was a rather amateurish move on Bioware's part.



In short, it's the lack of communication.

I am a bit sad, I was thinking "Holdiay season' when they said it would be out, was Christmas or New Years. Then after the Holiday Season they plan a date for Jan 5.

I am just not understanding, the DLC content as Bioware said is about an hour long. It's the cheapest of all the DLC, Warrdens Keep 7 bucks, Stone Prinsonar is you didn't get the code was 15 bucks. This is 5 bucks.

I was all excited and thrilled, I even re started the game as a human noble. Then to be told the day before, is like saying there will be no christmas tomorrow.

I am just lil disspointed in the time they said this, when can we expect an offical reply on an estimated wait time 3-4 days, a week? it's only a tiny DLC compared to the others.

After Mass Effect 2? I doubt it. It'll be within the next 20 days. There's a ton of people playing Dragon Age to fill a gap at the moment, and whilst that might not be everyone, when Mass Effect 2 launches Dragon Ages' active population will take a steep decline. I'm sure Bioware know that, so they'll be wanting to take advantage of pre-ME2 hype for sales.

This wont be a massive delay. A week, maybe, or even just a few days. Or! Maybe, none at all, and it's just Chris being evil. He is known for being evil.

Well the problem is all of us knew about the end of November when it was slanted for "this holliday season" but was delayed. Then they said January 5th, and it is delayed again. I agree with you, patience is important, but you are asking people to have patience, who have been patient for a month.

My apologies to those who have been waiting. **** happens, and it would be nice if Bioware told its fanbase what would require such a delay the night before release rather than offer a sentence for an explanation. Seeing as we all have to wait anyway, why don't you take some time for yourself? Go outside, throw a barbecue or win the Superbowl? Do something productive! Huzzah! 

I did actually cook some very nummy chicken today, sweet and spicy miso style. It may sound kind of gross, but it was really good. I actually surprised myself and thought, "you know what fantasy, you should come up with whacky recipes more often!"

But right now I am a little sick, and very unemployed, so as much as I want to be productive (no really, I am bored to tears here, I need a job, badly) there is just nothing productive for me to do! Besides make nummy chicken, that is.

The only thing that I see causing a delay across all platforms at this point is if the DLC failed the certification process on one of the platforms and has an identified issue that exists on all three. This DLC has been out of BioWare's hands for a while now as it went through MS certification and likely pending PSN staff returning to work to start their certification. God knows how long it will take to fix and resubmit for yet another certification.....at this point it seems like this delay will be at least 2 weeks long at a bare minimum while at worst.....well we all know how the ME "periodical" DLC went and the garbage we got for waiting.

Oh, so you are going for personal attacks, are you?  They stated a release date.  They failed to produce the product on that release date.  They lied about the release date.  Period.  If the DLC wasn't going to be available on the release date then they shouldn't have given a release date in the first place, git.
