Do we at least know if they are going to release this before the Awakening expansion pack?

Are you kidding a small dlc getting released after the expac that comes out in march. The dlc probably has some small bug they need to fix i doubt it will come out after the expac.

I'd give it a week, tops. And 2 days minimum, sadly.

Hmmmm...I guess this would be a good time to give some serious gaming time to "The Witcher"...since I dont have anything more pressing to play...like new DAO content that was supposed to be out today....

I just started playing that yesterday for the first time (after having the game on the shelf for about a year).

Only about 90 minutes in (just got to the first town) and so far not that impressed, I think DA spoiled me. Characters just staring at me when they talk, choppy animations (although combat is fluid, weird).

And so far combat is just slash slash slash, wait for flame icon on sword, slash slash slash, flame icon, slash slash slash, magic power, slash slash slash, flame icon, slash slash slash. I almsot fell asleep.

Then after doing a little research, the game sort of just seems like a little sexual escapade, like how many 'sex cards' can you get in a playthrough. I watched a youtube video, there were like 30 some odd cards, I did some serious eye-rolling.

Bit harsh for only 90 minutes of playing, but there you go.

I wonder if we'll meet what I assume was supposed to be the original deadline you gave us, Dargar21

No, clearly it was the word 'to'. That makes or breaks the sentence.

So your long supportive fans really have to be treated like children when the bills are getting our of hand? We can't know the reason for the delay or is it just hard to find in all 170 pages! lol. Was it really b/c Bioware felt the DLC was too short? B/c $5=hour of gameplay would make me one happy gamer

I dunno, DragonAge1103. Based on the behaviour of many in this thread, treating our community like children would be easier, quicker, and less stressful to us. But we don't do that.

We like to treat our community like mature human beings capable of complex reasoning, civil discussion, and independent thought, no matter how they might appear otherwise when ranting and whinging and carrying on.

Chris Priestly has already given you some information, and some clarification. He has also mentioned there is no ETA on a release date or further information yet. The "reason for the delay" you keep harping on has already been given to you. No, it's nothing specific, but the specifics do not affect you. Whether it's bugs, scheduling, a mandate from higher up, a clumsy intern, my iced tea habit, or aliens, the product is still affected and we're dealing with it so that you can have the product you've been looking forward to.

Certain folks within the community believe that, unless we cater to your every whim and always do things you agree with, we are not being open and honest and that we are unprofessional, rude, or worse. If the community can disabuse itself of that belief, maybe we can have better and more informative discussions? And showing more patience than a child also helps if you don't want to be seen as one. I'm just saying, is all. ;)

Just now read your replay, thank you for the response I appreciate it. I have to disagree about the information or reasoning of the delay not being very important. I understand things come up but this was a few hours before the 5th, Aslo as I have said a lot of u have invested a lot of money in Bioware...sadly EA now. I feel we deserve an answer no matter how childish some of us may be acting or at least a personal answer within a message.
I mean I have purchased both books, two t-shirts, all DLC, the CE of DA:O, rented the 360 version plus decked out my Avatar on XBL so I feel I am entitled to some specific answers. I am rather curious why unseen event, error or what ever could completely push this DLC back. I still feel PS3 is to blame even though you sadi all console were delayed. It is the only thing that makes sense. I mean do you guys feel you'll admit a simple mistake or something obvious that some how you overlooked & now people who understadn programming with take you as a joke?
I just can't fathom why you need all the secrets??? I really do not find it unreasonable to politely ask for something. are we expecting days weeks or month before this "issue" can be fixed.
I doubt I'll get any real answers but thanks again for the response, as I said it is greatly appreciated.
