Wow why is everyone mad???? I rather they delay it and get it right the first time than have it available to us and it turns out glitchy or something worse....take your time Bioware....this game is awesome and I can not wait for the expansion pack in March...

Fact of the matter is, the only rule broken was staying on topic. The topic was simply "Return to Ostagar Delayed". In my mind, that means one could reasonably argue that any conversation that stems from the delay is technically on topic.

There's things happing and than there is promising a date before your 90% sure you can deliver, most companies that I know, give a date after the DLC is done and all they need to do is tell M$oft to hit the button. Most times dates are a week or two in advanced, so that people can get points cards or paid, so they have a fair warning on the cost, and are able to get the money. Or maybe they decided with DarkSiders, and Bayonetta coming out that they could not compete, or simply Microsoft told them to put the hold on the DLC, because of these games. 

One of the Dev's specifically wrote in this thread about the release process. I'm not hunting through 200 pages to find a quote, so you can find it yourself if you're really commited. They try to resolve all of the major, mind numbing bugs that they can resolve within the time period they're given. In other words, they get to this "90% sure you can deliver" level. The finished product is then sent out for final certification and approval. During this process, more testing is done to double check that the software is safe to ship. In this instance, we were all unlucky enough to fall into that 10%. We WERE, however, lucky that bioware was checking through that 10% and were able to spot whatever was wrong with the DLC.
