No insult to Drusilla or Jenna, but Gone With The Wind bored me to shreds, not tears SHREDS!!!. It didn't really hit me as the epic it was made out to be. I am glad that people still read books and all, but yeah GWTW.. nahuh. Now a good book that I have read, and love reading is Good Omens, not an epic, but man, it has some dark sense of humour.

Also, most books are definitely better than their movie counterparts.

It's probably like Wuthering Heights.  I've read that book three times and never quite got the whole love-sick madness.  Yet I know chicks that love it and have cried over it.  Maybe how much a person likes the book depends on their "equipment."

Funnily enough, I didn't mind this book. Emily Bronte had a good writing style. Now I am going to say, one book that I truly love is Great Expectations by Charles Dickins, but most people gag all over the place when you tell them that.

For all the B$ that people went thru so far with this fiasco and for the fact that they are leaving people completely in the dark which is completely horrible customer service, i think they should just give the DLC for free as a "sorry for the F---ups" to save face.

My 2 cents.

Careful, guy.  You don't want to have an opinion here.  They'll be down your throat.  Just wave your pom pom, bend over and ask for some more.

Ahhh...the days back when the name Atari meant something *sheds a tear*

All of you Ostagar nostalgics should remember that if Atari was in charge they would have released early and buggy. This tradition goes back to a time where mullets were popular and the E.T. video game was produced in millions of copies before being dumped in a landfill.

He is taking over the system. He will soon be able to clone himself in the physical realm.

I can't stand the Bronte sisters work. I remember reading Wuthering Heights in English Literature and upsetting nearly all the other girls when I said it was ghastly. One of them said "What would you have done in ....'s position, Drusilla?". To which I replied "Well it sounds like good game country, most likely I would borrow a shooting stick and go bag some grouse or pheasant for dinner".

The irony of this is that that statement is symptomatic of the pride which Darcy has to overcome in order to win Lizzie, who at the same time has to strive to overcome her own prejudices. Hence the title, Pride and Prejudice. So you are in effect subscribing to the character flaw that has to be overcome to facilitate happiness.

Very true, but I'm not subscribing to that particular character flaw. I have my share, but pride isn't one of them. I just watched the movie again earlier today so the line popped readily into my mind while typing that particular post and fit what I was trying to say.

Edit: I'm not trying to be nasty to you Ms Jennamarae, your posts have been sensible and well written.

No worries. It takes quite a bit for me to think someone's being nasty with me. :)

What?! To shreds?! Preposterous! That book ranks up in my top 10 books of all time, though I'd probably have to think about it to name the other 9. :P

You're quite right about books being better than their movie counterparts.

Yet another preposterous statement! ;) Equipment be damned, that is a great book! Wuthering Heights ranks in my top 10 as well. (Well, lookie there. Two down, eight to go!)

I have read a piece or two of Emily Bronte, mostly due to classwork.  Personally, I prefer Poe and Longfellow over Dickens.

do you even have the game benny, just odd your only person whose profile is set for hidden.

I do.  Collectors Edition.  And the books (both read) and the shirt that came with the limited (weak) item.  I've given more than full support to this game.  I am more than allowed to voice my distaste in what is obviously poor customer service. If I didn't care about the game, obviously I wouldn't be disgruntled about the delay.  You started flaming for no reason.  It was a poor decision for this thread to even have been created because it's like a tenderbox soaked in gasoline.  What did they think was going to happen when they say the release was delayed and then made no additional comments?

they say theres a delay and they will post more info later its hardly end of world, if they had not said anything you would of been crying on here there was no news. out of intrest where is the poor customer service ?

I ended up not playing that. Was it good? How does it stack up with Warden's Keep? I thought WK was great but short.

most likely PS3 to blame, so hopefully it will only be a couple days :( What a complete disappointment. Why make a date & a promise to fans if you just fail to keep it.

We got it, you think PS3 is to blame (and given how this kind of market works, you're probably wrong), still I wonder why you feel the need to repeat it on every page of this thread. Microsoft fanboys can be quite virulent nowadays...

Ah yes thank you for taking the time to blindly classify me into a fanboy group b/c no 1 person can have their own opinion without being filed away into a group by you. Let see why I said it more than once, b/c it is the only logical conclusion. They give us no information for the delay. The game is already built they have all the tools so it will costs them much less to make DLC. The PS3 is a pain to program you can google that & you'll get that quote from tons of Devs. EA has control now, so they probably said hey cancel it 4 hours before launch day so we can slap the fans in the face & they can doubt our word from this point on so we can release it a few days a couple weeks later with the PS3 version. That is the only logical conclusion. ALl we got was "were sorry" not we greatly apologize for the inconvenience but due to a voice actor/actress or half the dev team...or a bomb found in the building we cn't finish this PLANNED DLC with a release date slash promise to the fans of when it will be out. Perhaps if you thought before you typed some pointless off topic message. Give it a try!!!!
