In the meantime, let's just pray the DLC comes out some day.

You are gonna feel like a total idiot when it turns out to be a total joke...since you know...the front page still says it is coming out January 5th....

The front page also said it was coing out "this holliday season", the day after christmas.

pretty much, its as good a guess as any as to the delay. They are trying to release DLC across 3 platforms at the same time and make it all work...anyone remember the Orange Box on PS3?, haha Cell chip my ass...

The engine is already working on all platforms, given that the game is out on all of them. The raw programming work is done, and all that Bioware needs to do is now tp pull out content to work on their toolkit, that has really nothing to do with the Cell or with the PS3 architecture (which, I may say, allowed for the most graphically stunning games this generation, so I wouldn't go as far as saying "my ass" just because quite a few developers are lazy in learning to work on it. The ones that do invest the right amount of effort and resources show amazing results). 

So it's most likely a failure to meet the release date in all the data insertion that needs to be done in the toolkit (and it's quite complex, expecially for cutscenes, so it's a possibility), or matter of certification from one of the parties involved. Given that the most strict certification process is Microsoft's (the PSN certification is very bland in comparison), if a console should be blamed blindly, that's not the PS3.
