time to play the not-so-random blame game!

I've narrowed down my choices to Sony or Microsoft...it's 50/50 here. One of them sent the build back and said, sorry, you fail cert! Console development FTW!
Just a guess, anyway...

Nothing like that at this late stage surely?

Yeah Chris has an unhealthy obsession with devil faces.

Does Chris work for Bioware? If he does, its very unethical and rude.

Why ?

Like I said its unethical and rude to post like that. Getting people to get frustrated and disappointed.

He has been doing it in jest for years. All in good fun.

The Path of Enlightenment is paved with harshnesses and roughnesses.

Yes. So we must be really calm, and breathe. 1 - 2 - 3... Breathe... 4 - 5 - 6...

Wait, it must be a joke, right?

I'm sorry but this is a load of bull. You don't put out a release date then have it pulled, then give another release date then have it pulled again. You people are suppose to be professionals, right? Professionals stick to a date once it is given. Don't give a release date for something until it is actually ready for release. You people aren't a bunch of noobs here. I wish you guys stop acting like it.

Lol, yes I'm pretty sure he is the unlucky chap whose job it is to communicate and deal with the pack of monkies, aka the Bioware Social forum.  Not sure why it'd be unethical and rude, it's just his thing. I was just poking some fun at those saying it was a joke because of the devil face.

The loser of course would have to dance around naked on the field and be subjected to the laughs of the winning team. . :wizard:

And you didn't specify that this be a bollywood style dance?

I disown you as a friend.

The idea was to keep such an idea for a future mini DLC involving such for RtO to keep it fresh after it has been released. No point giving the customer along the awesomeness in one package I say.

Well apparently all of his posts have that smiley at the end, now that I think about it I remember seeing it before. I think it's just the combination of the brief... terse, almost... language of the announcement, with the devil face, can make it seem kinda rude. But don't let yourself get worked up, I doubt that was his intention... or that he would care either way, given his reputation as such an evil, upstanding young man LOL.

Right on! Pegged precisely on the head. So CHRIS what is the real reason why it is delayed again?

I was going to use this DLC to revitalize my interest in the game. Mostly just been posting on forums instead of playing. Was going to do the DLC for my characters and want to keep playing (because that is how it works with me) a new character.

Ah well, maybe I will try The Witcher while I wait. have had it for about six months but have yet to play it.

Was it really necessary to wait until THE LAST MINUTE to announce this? I just bought the Bio points figuring that it's almost the 5th, so it's unlikely that it will be cancelled at this point..

I just hope that whatever problem Return to Ostagar has affects all the versions equally. It would be unfair if say the PC version was ready, but not the Xbox 360, and they all get delayed together.

Waiting for my platform to be bug-free is definitely worth it. Waiting for a different platform that I don't use, not so much.

Or there could have been a problem with the PC version that they found last minute.  Regardless, Bioware's RtO fiasco is not only infuriating, but it's also getting embarassing to watch.:(

This thread is REALLY going to explode if it turns out they are delaying so they can release simultaneously with PS3, instead of just delaying the PS3 version. And with no other reason given, it's as decent a speculation as any. I can see Sony pulling that kind of crap in the imaginary video game board room in my head.

No problem. Better to take your time than to release a buggy product. I applaud Bioware's decision.

Sure if that's the reason.

What annoys me is that there is no reason given for WHY the delay.  That is what I really care about.

I also spent all day getting a new guy all ready for RtO, guess I will just put it aside and do my pre ME2 set up on Mass Effect.  Or run to the store and get Darksiders tomorrow

Are you kidding me?  The day of the release, someone pops in here with "Welp, it's not ready yet, we'll tell you later why not"?

And this for a product that had already been delayed once?

Hilarious.  Hilariously insulting.  You had to have known the product was going to be pushed back before the day of the release, and you wait until now to tell everyone that you can't actually tell anyone anything yet.

No.  No, thank you, I won't be supporting this whenever the hell it comes out.  I refuse to reward this kind of slapdash buffoonery in a professional company.

That's another load of horse manure, they have to honor to date they said they will release the bloody DLC not like this! Breathe 1, 2, 3, Breathe 4,5, 6
