In all seriousness tho, this is no way to treat customers. Rethink hard, bioware. You're drifting into EA's customer care scheme very fast.

Hilarious. Hilariously insulting. You had to have known the product was going to be pushed back before the day of the release, and you wait until now to tell everyone that you can't actually tell anyone anything yet.
Maybe they have been applying the finishing touch on RoT today, and the final tests showed that it wasn't ready, so they delay it. I think it was only today, at 5 PM Edmonton time that they decided to postpone the release.

It is, however, rather unprofessional to do this without offering a reason - in game development that usually means the reason needs to pass the PR machine before being released, and that usually means it's something that would make customers angry. Just look at Blizzard, they've been doing it for years.

Ah well, maybe I will try The Witcher while I wait. have had it for about six months but have yet to play it.
That's what I've been playing off and on while waiting. It's pretty good once you get used to the combat, what I've seen of it anyway. Haven't made it through the whole thing yet.

Was it really necessary to wait until THE
LAST MINUTE to announce this? I just bought the Bio points figuring
that it's almost the 5th, so it's unlikely that it will be cancelled at
this point..
I had just decided to wait until after it was released before buying the points. Makes me glad I waited.
Maybe someone accidentally wrote over the disc they'd saved the only copy on? Or maybe the servers housing the DLC imploded, someone wrote over their only off-server copy, and the building sank into the earth for good measure burying any salvageable copies deep enough they won't be found three generations? That at least would be a reasonable excuse on the day of launch (or a few hours to it depending on where you are in the world).

Adding:
Be kind guys - developers have lives/families too (we all just came back from Xmas / NYE)- having said that waiting until Midnight GMT to break it to very loyal group of customers who need their RPG-fix before resorting to the methadone that is WarCraft / Etc
... makes you wonder how stretched the development teams are at the moment ...

Maybe, but why don't they just tell us the reason?
That is what is annoying me, the lack of communication from them, give me a good reason and I will be fine with the news. But just to give a little message a few hours before it was supposed to drop and no reasonw hy, is just rude to the fans

Are you kidding me? The day of the release, someone pops in here with "Welp, it's not ready yet, we'll tell you later why not"?
And this for a product that had already been delayed once?

No. No, thank you, I won't be supporting this whenever the hell it comes out. I refuse to reward this kind of slapdash buffoonery in a professional company.

it would be okay for me if the delay is because they want to lengthen the addon...
Hours before the release? Highly unlikely.

If the DLC wasn't gioing to be ready on the 5th, why the hell wait til the last minute to tell people. This sort of thing should have been known weeks ago.
Well, a few weeks ago they didn't even have a release date...

I'm sorry but this is a load of bull. You don't put out a release date then have it pulled, then give another release date then have it pulled again. You people are suppose to be professionals, right? Professionals stick to a date once it is given. Don't give a release date for something until it is actually ready for release. You people aren't a bunch of noobs here. I wish you guys stop acting like it.
Lol SOMEONE's never worked in corporate america. Dates aren't always met, and usually set by higher ups who aren't aware of all the details that go into certain projects

I hope the delay is because you are recording tons more dialog for Alistair and Ohgren to entertain me.

Edit: As to my fellow Europeans posting about how they have waited till after midnight? I have to ask you (my fellow europeans)Why? Think about it, they will release it their time not ours.
