WTF!!!! I am sick and tired of how Bioware is treating us! Give us a real reason for the delay because this is getting ridiculous! First no new news about the delay during the holiday season and now no news as to why it has been delayed yet again. If this is how Bioware is going to treat it's fanbase I may need to rethink my purchase of future Bioware games!

why are people being trolled by a devil face? Forget how he gave us the news! Focus ON the news! You want to be angry... be angry at a nameless faceless corperation that can't make deadlines. Let's face facts... the only thing these people know is our money and we will still give it to them and they'll gladly take it without a thought. Lets use this forum to make statement about bad busness! Which is what we have here!

I will excuse this delay...if I am duly compensated for my emotional distress with raspberry jam and a personally autographed picture of my choice of moderator in skimpy Dalish Armor.

Unless I see a second post from Chris confirming that he was not joking, I can't believe it. Not on the day of the release. So I will patiently await till whatever time should be in Canada for the download to presumably be there, and then... Well, come on: I'll say it again, this can't be true!

How about instead of just posting that there will be a delay... again, that you actually take an extra minute and explain why its delayed.... again. And maybe give a time window.

I have got to say, the delay doesn't bother me so much but the communication between this company and its customers if laughable lol.

Nice to let us know the night before its suppose to go live :)

In all seriousness tho, this is no way to treat customers. Rethink hard, bioware. You're drifting into EA's customer care scheme very fast.

Hilarious.  Hilariously insulting.  You had to have known the product was going to be pushed back before the day of the release, and you wait until now to tell everyone that you can't actually tell anyone anything yet.

Maybe they have been applying the finishing touch on RoT today, and the final tests showed that it wasn't ready, so they delay it. I think it was only today, at 5 PM Edmonton time that they decided to postpone the release.

"Infuriating"? "Insulting"? "Unethical"? Don't be ridiculous. It's a game we're talking about, and a delay won't hurt anyone.

It is, however, rather unprofessional to do this without offering a reason - in game development that usually means the reason needs to pass the PR machine before being released, and that usually means it's something that would make customers angry. Just look at Blizzard, they've been doing it for years.

Ah well, maybe I will try The Witcher while I wait. have had it for about six months but have yet to play it.

That's what I've been playing off and on while waiting. It's pretty good once you get used to the combat, what I've seen of it anyway. Haven't made it through the whole thing yet.

Was it really necessary to wait until THE
LAST MINUTE to announce this? I just bought the Bio points figuring
that it's almost the 5th, so it's unlikely that it will be cancelled at
this point..

I had just decided to wait until after it was released before buying the points. Makes me glad I waited.

Maybe someone accidentally wrote over the disc they'd saved the only copy on? Or maybe the servers housing the DLC imploded, someone wrote over their only off-server copy, and the building sank into the earth for good measure burying any salvageable copies deep enough they won't be found three generations? That at least would be a reasonable excuse on the day of launch (or a few hours to it depending on where you are in the world).

If the DLC wasn't gioing to be ready on the 5th, why the hell wait til the last minute to tell people. This sort of thing should have been known weeks ago.

You guys better lower the price for the dlc, kept giving us false promises, first "come out holiday season" then "jan 5!!!!" and now you delay it, friggin great.

Adding:

Be kind guys - developers have lives/families too (we all just came back from Xmas / NYE)- having said that waiting until Midnight GMT to break it to very loyal group of customers who need their RPG-fix before resorting to the methadone that is WarCraft / Etc

... makes you wonder how stretched the development teams are at the moment ...

Maybe, but why don't they just tell us the reason?

That is what is annoying me, the lack of communication from them, give me a good reason and I will be fine with the news. But just to give a little message a few hours before it was supposed to drop and no reasonw hy, is just rude to the fans

Are you kidding me?  The day of the release, someone pops in here with "Welp, it's not ready yet, we'll tell you later why not"?

And this for a product that had already been delayed once?

No.  No, thank you, I won't be supporting this whenever the hell it comes out.  I refuse to reward this kind of slapdash buffoonery in a professional company.

I'm sorry but this is a load of bull. You don't put out a release date then have it pulled, then give another release date then have it pulled again. You people are suppose to be professionals, right? Professionals stick to a date once it is given. Don't give a release date for something until it is actually ready for release. You people aren't a bunch of noobs here. I wish you guys stop acting like it.

Lol SOMEONE's never worked in corporate america.  Dates aren't always met, and usually set by higher ups who aren't aware of all the details that go into certain projects

Bummer news, but hey, that's the way it goes sometimes.

I hope the delay is because you are recording tons more dialog for Alistair and Ohgren to entertain me. :D

No offence Chris, but considering the recent mess on the ME boards about the Save Imports, I would have thought a delay to this DLC would have warranted you getting all the facts before posting there was a delay and stating would come back once got the info. I think as proven this is one of the main gripes people have with this topic.

Edit: As to my fellow Europeans posting about how they have waited till after midnight? I have to ask you (my fellow europeans)Why? Think about it, they will release it their time not ours.

Must be nice to have a job where you can knowingl dely and decieve until go time, and then at the most important moment you sneak out the back door like a coward! Bio is a coward, please Bio make a statement and prove me wrong.
