Well it is an ad on to a game and there might be some conflicts with new items and the other stuff it lets us get..

Who knows for sure maybe it is due to something simple like (if it was back in the old days) a 0 being put where a one should be lol

That's the thing though, it's been sent in for certification twice. There's no way a game breaking bug should have slipped past that twice. So it has to be something else.

I had a feeling this was going to get delayed again. Just by seeing how Bioware hasn't said much about this game for the past couple weeks (until now), i had a feeling that the date given was not going to be set in stone. I don't think the wait's going to be all that long though, maybe about a week at the very least and a month at most. I'm a patient person (for the most part) when it comes to these things so i can wait.

Yeah have to agree...cant be a certification issue....maybe something was found on final checking that caused a major conflict somewhere big enough to warrant a pull back?

LOL Blade. Probably some knuckle dragging tech spilled his Coke in the server farm, and they're having to recompile from the backups.

Oh well, we've waited this long, I suppose a little longer won't be lethal. It'd be nice, however, if someone over there were to shake off the typical EA culture of corporate apathy and gave us a sitrep.

Possible. but I find it highly unlikely. For release today all that checking should have been done and finished with prior to yesterday.

Errr, sent to certification twice doesn't mean PASSED certification either time.

Maybe the second certification pass found something that is important enough to be resolved.

Everyday is a holiday if you want to be technical about it. Doesn't excuse changing the release date a million times.

What do you think the odds are of us getting a reason for the delay at some point in the next 24 hours?

I live in Australia and I have absolutely no direct line of contact with anyone at Bioware or EA.

However, I've been involved in this community for like 9 years now, so I can speak based on past experiences.

Bioware are most likely going to wait until they have something concrete to say... it might be in the next 24 hours, but it might not be. When there are a lot of stakeholders involved, it can be difficult to get things worked out.

I know that they would like to be telling us everything, but they are following a principle of careful and concrete communications about this now it seems.

Yeah they should have thought about making sure things were concrete before defaulting on yet another release date for this DLC.

P.S. I'm jealous you live in Australia, enjoy your warm weather but stay away from those nasty little poisonous spiders you have there. ;)

It just seems like common sense to me that if they found something gamebreaking, they wouldn't have waited until mere hours before release day to say it wasn't being released and then do so without giving that as the reason for the delay up front.

Had there been a reason given for the delay when it was announced you wouldn't hear a word from me about it. It's the "It's delayed, can't tell you why" that irritates me.

So what time do Bioware get people back in the offices to cook up a reason? at least then at least I'll know when to check back, Nothing better to do besides watch the snow here.
