Doesn't help those of us who won't be buying ME2. At the rate this is going I likely won't be buying anymore Bioware games after this one. I love the game, bugs and all, but this has gone beyond ridiculous into just being completely absurd.

It's the fact that they don't give a reason for the delay that bothers me. Also I would figure that they would of known the reason for this delay for a few days at least. It's just a few hours before it's supposed to be released. This is not good business sence on Biowares part for giving no reason for the delay.
Give us a reason!
LOL ... ** takes a looong step back **
I'm not saying its right - there has been an obvious screw up - and it'll be interesting how its spun - I was looking forwarded to it as much all you all were (took Monday/Tuesday from work partly because I thought I would be sating my addiction on the "battlefields of Ostagar."
But the world still spins on its axis - and yes its quite funny to watch happen ... someone or a group of people are not going to have a good week at EA/Bioware ...

You really think a bunch of programmers and testers were diligently hammering away at tiny little touches for this project on its -- let me reiterate this yet again just to make the point -- date of release? And then the second they discovered the shocking flaw that would surely render the product all but unplayable, they would send their on-hand "community coordinator" straight to the forums to inform us of their sudden but tragic postponement? Seriously? Don't kid yourself, and I say that in the least confrontational way possible.HolyRomanCousinConsort wrote...

Hilarious. Hilariously insulting. You had to have known the product was going to be pushed back before the day of the release, and you wait until now to tell everyone that you can't actually tell anyone anything yet.
Maybe they have been applying the finishing touch on RoT today, and the final tests showed that it wasn't ready, so they delay it. I think it was only today, at 5 PM Edmonton time that they decided to postpone the release.
The idea that anyone would even be playtesting a product on its date of release (can't get over italicizing that enough), even disregarding the improbability and ludicrosy of the idea, is pretty much proof positive that they knew they wouldn't be able to get it out on time long before the fact! This isn't a first-year gaming college's midterm project.
Date of release is tomorrow their time.
As I said earlier, did you seriously expect it to be released midnight european time?

like DLC that lets Tali'Zorah nar Rayya wear Morrigan's dress O.O?
Haha, well first they need to actually release the DLC before ME2 hits the shelves and considering the current record, I'm not holding my breath

"You want some DLC for Christmas?"
"Yes please, Bioware!"
"Yeah? Well guess what? CAN'T HAVE."
To be fair, the fallout threads over Return to Ostagar have been more entertaining than an hours worth of DLC would ever be. God, I love you, Bioware.

Looks like I'm going out to have some beers now...was going to play some tonight if it came out around the midnight time. Maybe they will get it all fixed by tomorrow. Though realy 6:30 CST is a little late, that is almost 6 hours before a expected release time. Not sure what us time zone they are in, but hope it's a quick fix.Kexim wrote...
...And they just took the release date off of the RtO page.

OH and what is getting every one worked up is the lack of feed back. If they came on and said it was being delayed cause this or that we would be more understanding. THough just popping on, locking a thread and starting a new one with the only real info, "It's delayed.".....?
