One would think that Video/PC games business is a serious one and it gathers not only pro developers and publishers but also pro customer relation people. Meanwhile, there's no information at all about DLC delay on the official Dragon Age homepage, which is still announcing today as a release day. I understand the law argument about company based in US, but professionals should consider time differences among their customers and inform people globally... I feel like waiting in the queue at the store door for 6 hours, not knowing when would they open

Would you care to elaborate about the EA failboat? because lately EA's quality has raised a lot, and I don't see that many delays on their games.

Maybe you're talking silly stereotypes that are now completely outdated and have no bearing on the current reality of the gaming market? 
EA has stopped being the dark side of the gaming market long ago. Want to find the dark side? Actiblizzard would be your choice at the moment.

I am quite disappointed, but have to say that the official word about the expansion coming march got me excited, expecially for the ability to use the same characters we used in Origins and the fact that it's a sequel and not a completely different story. Also, a new orlaisian origin?  new customization options? FIVE new companions?
My curiosity is piqued.

I have to admit people throwing mindless praise for Bethesda like it was some backhanded way to spite Bioware make me giggle, expecially given all the delays Fallout 3's DLCs went under, despite the fact that Bethesda was greedy and answered the sneaky call of Microsoft's money to deprieve part of their fanbase of said DLCs (some here are silly enough to blame the PS3 for this delay, but there's absolutely nothing more idiotic in the gaming market that exclusive DLCs), and the general broken status of Fallout 3 in general. This not to mention just how dull and simplistic Bethesda's stories are (fallout 3 included).

This might not be the best day for Dragon Age fans, but at least the disappointment is based on a great game for which we crave new content. I wouldn't say it's that bad.

You are kidding right?
They are selling cheats and special online mode as DLC in Madden.
They are selling cheats for Skate 2.
They striped Sims 3 of half the content and  tried to sell it as DLC soon after release.
They attempted to buy out Take Two. Their preaty much only competitor in sports games genre.
They recently closed Pandemic Studios and fired large part of Black Box staff and canceled a lot of titles.
I don't see how this is an improvement over what they did previously. But I agree with you on one point. There are not many delays on their games, they'll release them even if it means releasing alpha version.

I, for one, have to take issue with this.

Right now we DON'T know if its delayed for any good reason.  For all we know,  the delay could indeed be nothing more than an attempt to drum up hype in order to increase sales for when it does  finally get released.

Which would be a rather ROTTEN and very UNgood reason for a delay.

But again, we don't know, so  simply assuming  good reason when we're given absolutely none (good or bad) is unintelligent thinking.

Whilst I'm perfectly accepting that delays happen, there's something I don't understand.



Chris's post says he'll update us as soon as they have any information - surely they already have information? Bioware didn't just choose to delay on a whim without good reason, so would it be possible to know the reason why the latest delay even if you can't yet tell us when it will eventually be released?

I hope they're all too busy fixing the dlc to post yet so the next post we get from Bioware is

They trade in the EU, therefore they must conform with EU regulations. It is pretty simple to understand, but clearly beyond your limited intellect.
