HAHAHAHA

The January 5th date was just taken off the Return to ostagar tab...

It now says...

dun dun dunnnnn

Available this Holiday Season! Queue jokes about it getting released Holiday Season 2011.

When they said 2 years of DLC, they really meant about three DLC's over the course of 2 years... ok I should stop driving the mob on. I feel bad.

As I said earlier, did you seriously expect it to be released midnight european time?

Pretty much. Unless they specifically say so international companies often run by Universal Time, otherwise known as GMT, and this delay was announced at 0:00 GMT January 5th.

If you click "Learn More" it doesn't say that. It doesn't say anything about a release date.

Bioware just sent out a press release

"Mass Effect 2 - Return to Ostagar" release date Christmas 2010

Some Dudes memories of a battle for some city named Ostagar will haunt you for years to come. It laid waste to some kind of order and claimed the lives of many great men and women, including the brash young King Cailan and some guy named, Duncan.

Now, there are rumors that a survivor of the battle has escaped from captivity and borded a spaceship and is now seeking Shepard's help. The time has come for Shepard's crew to make a trip to Ostagar and and help the survivor exact their revenge upon the darkspawn.

To all who are complaining about no reason, maybe Chris can't give a reason?

"Well why not? It takes 3 seconds? and we deserve to know!"

Why? Cause you spent 60 bucks on a product that is one of the longest games in recent history?

Not trying to be a jerk but, give them a break, they're probably working their butts off and something came up. If they released it with problems all of you would be here complaining about the problems anyways.

Gotta' say guys, I'm disappointed. With Mass Effect 2 right around the corner, the chances of me buying this DLC are getting slimmer by the day. One less sale is no big loss though, so... do what you gotta' do, I guess.

Furthermore, it doesn't inspire one with much confidence for future DLC if this is how the first non-release day content has been handled.

And that will be one less person to whine about not getting their sucker on time.

Seriously, if they have delayed it, it is not because Chris is being a jerk, and not giving it to us.. he could be, but he would be fired lol.

There must have been something totally and utterly Fubar with it to be announced this soon.

Hmmm. gives me more time to finish the characters that I have up and running.

As Mike Holmes says, Make It Right or don't make it at all.

Bioware pretty much runs on Edmonton (Central) Time.  Probably wouldn't have been released until morning in the Central Time Zone if it had been on schedule.

Likely what happened.  A bunch of people got back from a long weekend and have been working all day on some sort of issue try to get things ready for tomorrow.  As the working day winds to a close they realize its not going to happen, so Chris makes a quick post here, at the end of the Bioware day, so people know not to wait around constantly refreshing to see if its up yet.

I can quite honestly say that I did not expect the nigh-comical level of unprofessionalism I just saw evidenced by this company, yes.

I don't even really care about the DLC that much, by all accounts it's going to be even less content-filled than Warden's Keep, and I'm not saying that as a slight on WK.  Mostly I'm loving the "This means that they really care about the bugs and that there will be no bugs, yay I support!" responses.  The fact that there are even "bugs" to be tweaked at this late in the game is, again, evidence that they knew long before the night prior to release (how's that?), maybe even at the time the date was set, that they weren't going to get it out on time.

Could be, I dunno.. It's still on the first add-on page, just not the "Learn More" page.

"Can't give a reason" is what alarms me, though. Bioware has a brilliant record of being open with their fans. The whole "have to go through the PR machine before we can comment" is what I find troubling, not the delay itself.
