WHAT!? Why!? We (XBox, PS3, PC) MUST play the events to get the promo weapons and the people on the WiiU get them in SPs and PSPs?

Us, guaranteed to get one a week.  Them, could go months without seeing a Valiant or Hurricane.

They can also get eagles, crusaders, and valkyries when they might have received paladins, harriers, scorpions, talons, wraiths, etc. in an UR drop.  Not that the promos are necessarily bad, but I don't think those three compare real well to their UR counterparts.  Possible balancing implications?

The way I see it, doing a weekend operation will FOR SURE get you one of the promo weapons. Playing on the WiiU, you'd have to get A LOT of credits to have a CHANCE to get the same weapons.

I guess it doesn't seem fair for veteran players who has proper builds that can be used to be successfully extract in most matches and earning a lot of credits. These verteran players would be able to get these weapons faster than waiting for and doing weekend challenges if the promo weapons were UR. It seems to me though that new, casual or less hardcore ME3 PC, PS3 and Xbox360 players can get promo weapons easier than a new ME3 WiiU player.

For some reason I get the feeling that only cheaters will feel strongly against this. Since they can exploit glitches to easily earn credits to buy the packs that unlocks the weapons quickly. But that's just me though, and my mind has become tainted from wielding the banhammer for some time.

I realize now that mentioning this is a slippery slope that I should originally have thought twice about mentioning. I originally intended to simply shed some light on WiiU's ME3, since I worked on it, I feel proud of it. I didn't anticipate how you guys would react.

To those who understand that some things are just diffferent no matter how hard you try to make them the same, thank you for understanding.

Please don't feel that way.  Some people will always find something to complain about, but I appreciate any time you guys open up with any info for us :)

Some people will complain about anything.  It makes perfect sense, and it's better that you said it rather than the "controversy" of a player finding it out themselves and posting it here as a "glitch" or something.

I take our system over Wii anytime. Then again, I'm not in the upper 2% of players who have milions of credits stashed and nothing to do with them.

Hm, they probably get em because they have no missions like we do.

And they are coming in late, consider everything they have to buy and the credits that it will take, personally think it's all good, hell I wouldn't care if they gave them a free weapon as part of the purchase, just creates more interest in a game the majority of us love.

And yet 360, PS3, and PC don't have this... -.-

And yet we've had access to the game for a million more years than they have. C'mon now.

Yeah, that was a bit rude, and pointed fingers at a lot of innocent people.

Because I am annoyed to say the least... Yeah I have a maxed out inventory, it took me a LONG time to get it, I even paid around 120 bucks in SP's and PSP's to help it along.  I guess I am a cheater for wanting better access to promo weapons.

Yes, we are guaranteed to get a promo weapon every week, assuming we jump through the hoops and have to wait a week if we want to try and get another rank in the weapon we want, instead of playing the game more or spending more bioware points.

I am now only playing this game twice a week, instead of seven days.  I play during the events (trying to get my valkyrie up, and failing hilariously every time. I got my Valkyrie 1 in the loyalty pack :P), and when the new character comes out to give it a spin.  My credits are effectively useless until Tuesday.

I suppose it's wrong to want a more expensive pack that provides N7 weapons randomly, instead of waiting a WEEK to get a shot.

What about players like me who have their manifest maxed since quite some time now, play the game legitimately, earn credits but can't get anything besides equipment anymore? Credits will pile up, I'm at roughly 29 million credits at the moment. What should I do with it? If I would get the chance to buy the promo weapons randomly through the store, of course I would probably have them maxed out should I spend all my credits. And of course I would love that.

Doesn't mean I'm a cheater just for wanting to have something to do with my credits that piled up for almost 2 months now. I never used any credits glitches or missile exploits but still would probably have the guns maxed A.S.A.P., so I would be regarded as a cheater? Doesn't seem quite fair to me.

Oh, don't get all huffy. He's the guy who responds to all the reports of cheaters so his view is a bit myopic about most things ME3. When a large part of your day likely deals with hearing (false) claims of being banned for no reason, you're not likely to see the world as half glass full. The Wii is simply operating on a slightly different format. Nintendo still hasn't fully embraced the internet yet so the game doesn't have the same exact configuration regarding what you can get where and how.

You do the same thing you would do if you had all the unlocks in Gears of War or Halo or were at max level in SWTOR and WOW... you wait for the next DLC.  The promo rate is entirely reasonable and DOUBLE what it was just two months ago.  We don't need a super special pack to satisfy the 1/10 of 1% of players who have maxed out manifests.

Behold my awesome Wii U manifest. It's rough getting XP and credits when everyone's equipment sucks and you can barely extract from Bronze. I feel like I'm months away from being able to afford a PSP with that chance at a promo weapon.

What else can I do besides waiting?
And I didn't state anywhere that I wanted such a pack. If they design it, fine of course, but I'm not going to cry for it.
So there is no need for that condescending attitude of your last sentence.

We have had 22 guaranteed promo weapon upgrades so far. Wii U has had 0. Sounds like they have some catching up to do.

New packs are on their way, remember? I imagine they will cost a TON of credits for very good chances for URs, possibly Promos.

There's nothing to complain about here people, it's just a way to try and even the playing field a bit. If BioWare could let you get these promo weapons as a UR, would you trade your entire manifest to do it? I doubt anyone would. That's essentially what Wii U adopters have to do, I'd say it's more than fair.

(The comment about the only people having a problem with it being cheaters was a bit short-sighted though. Never underestimate how much people like to complain on here. It doesn't make them cheaters, just nerdy pessimists.)

I don't know why people are getting upset, honestly if I get 1 UR a week I consider myself lucky. I for one prefer the commendation pack method.
