No one is complaining about complainers. We're simply stating facts.

Or are you complaining about people complaining about complainers? It's a tired old argument, so please.

No you're not.

Haha, before this gets locked,, I have to admit, I got a really good laugh out of this thread. Thank you Mr.House! Makes me think I should add more things in future versions without telling anyone about it. Quiet whispers in the background for example would make the IT people go nuts :).

It was just so well paced, really you made me love ME3 full again with your mod, at last doing the game with your mod, I got the feeling I thoguht I would have got at launch.

MEHEM doesn't fix ALL the issues, the plot is still a heap of crap. This just does an even better job at polishing the turd that was than the EC. For some thats enough.

For others its not. Deal with it.

Say, I just had a thought about the MEHEM, and this time not a trolling thought.

If bioware is this big greedy company that is entirely EA, than was is this mod in existence and able to be on the BSN? I mean, why hasn't EA, if it is the worst company ever, not done what other companys do when you alter their product and distribute it and sue the loving crap out of the person who made the mod? Mcdonalds would do that if you altered the way they make their meals, even if it was an improvement. And I know movie comapnies would not hesitate to do so either. Even if they couldn't win, they do it to bleed you dry while they delay the court date and make you have to pay for legal defense until you submit to them and settle out of court for less than enough to cover the debt the suit caused, like they have done so countless times.

What do the people who hate bioware think on this? Because it would confuse me to no end, just like as a star wars fan I am confused at how george lucas, the person I hated a lot for the past decade, allows for fans to alter and distribute his movies and not sue them, since he is evil and therefore would do an evil thing like that.

even if they do not like this mod - shutting it down would turn into a pr-inferno.

even the first version was "download of the day" in some german journals and they had articles about the mod. and it got good reviews as well.

shutting this mod down, would result in a really unpleasant sh**storm.

Why would that matter for an evil greed and stupid coorporation like EA? As if it would be worse that the **** storm that's already occured.

Things can always get worse

MrFob has repeatedly refused any compensation for his work. He is not stealing any profits from EA.

If EA took action, they would have to acknowledge why someone would want to make a better ending to their "perfect" game.

That wouldn't matter, they could sue, delay the time of their hearing for years, and force Mr.Fob to stop or suffer massive legal debt. It's what companies do in order to force people who sue them to stop, they don't care and don't have to admit crap if it ends up with an out of court settlement.

Basically, this whole thing of "they won't becasue it'll ruin their standing" doesn't really matter at all if they can make him stop. What I am honestly asking is why, if they are so evil, they don't do what other major corporations do already and silence anyone who would cause any sort of compitiion or criticism from them, regardless of legality to it.

It's something I've been thinking on and haven't gotten any conclusions that I can accept.

It's only ironic if you equivocate.

By being endless complainers about something that is a dead horse and need not be complained about anymore, they actually become something worth complaint.

Thanks though!

It's a screeching noise. No doubt either a coincidence, or Bioware's way of inserting a meme/easter egg into the game.

If Bioware wanted Harbinger to speak, his voice actor is easy to get ahold of(he came back for the Retaliation trailer.)

I think it is mostly this: BW did sanction SP-modifications, although they do not provide the tools for those themselves. And that is what this mod comes down to, a modification of in-game cutscenes that do not affect the MP by a iota, and do not "challenge" BW financially, as it is non-profitable fan-work.

Speaking for myself, BW even stands to gain profit from this - sole reason I purchased my own copies of From Ashes, Levi and Omega was this mod's existence. So exactly why would they shut this down if they receive more income out of this as a plus?

^ Because it is a criticism, and companys like EA tend to be vain and have fragile egos when it comes to such criticism.

From how I see it, there are three possibilities

1. They aren't as evil as people claim. I don't really bite that, especially with their track record.
2. They don't know about it. Again, I find that very hard to believe since it's on the forums.
3. It's a ploy to make money. This I have a hard time believing as well, since most of the people with the MEHEM I have seen have stated over and over that they won't buy anything and are mad they had to make their own ending.

You arent, and with what you did it makes sense, but from what I have seen, my assertion seems to happen more.

Basically, It's like a crazy roman emporer allowing a giant banner saying he sucks to be hung in front of his palace. It seems out of character that EA would not crush it utterly.

Shame they kept that Normandy evac scene though :/ I was half expecting the new and improved Harbinger to troll Shepard by blowing up the Normandy as it took off.

I might have to try this MEHEM thing at some point.

No it doesn't.
To sufficiently "fix" the mess, they have to go as far back as Thessia, retcon that silly bit about the crucible being a hand me down tech modified blind with zero software / hardware compatibility testing and of course revamp / redone Priority Earth and a Priority Citadel run.

No silly Normandy pickup being ignored by Harbinger while other *smaller* vehicles get blown to hell.

Get rid of starbrat and its retard RGB + FU choices

Even if they insist on keeping the Starbrat, inclusion of player interupts to argue and refute its "logic" with the option to win a conventional / unconventional victory through military force because of something Shepard does, would work very well.

The key is not to replace *our* Shepard with a moronic, capitulating, suicide happy Shepard.

And with just that, most of the major issues can be circumvented.

Not that Bioware will do it.

But for the time being, MEHEM got rid of the starbrat, and gave us a reuinon.
I would like to have more endings, but MEHEM is far better logically for me, and how my Shepards both Paragon / Renegade would have acted.

ps: sorry posting from pad and it submited when my finger strayed too close to the button.
FYI, MEHEM saved the game for me. finally finished my 2nd (out of 20+ Shepard saves) Insanity run. it was just sitting there after original ending and the EC was still crap, polished crap that it is.

The sound uses the same instruments as the other Reaper screeches and sound effects.

Harbinger has a distinctly different voice. Anybody who has played Mass Effect 2 would know that. And a trailer for DLC proved that they can get Kieth Szarabajka back whenever they want to.

I actually like the evac scene since we know why there are some survivors. Though after Leviathan DLC, I actually hoped that Harbinger went after the Normandy to space, after critically wounding Shepard, only to be attacked by Leviathan itself to distract Harbinger from getting to the Normandy and even the Crucible.

Well anyhow, I hope Bioware sees this and adds Harbingers voice in ME3.

I don't like it because it feels so stupid:
The fate of the galaxy rests upon us getting to the Citadel, but when one of his squadmate is hurt, Shepard stops charging towards the beam AND gets the Normandy to abandon a fight where it sounds the Normandy would be useful. To make things worse, he sends his completely uninjured squadmate away too, as if reaching the Citadel wasn't that important anyway? If the mission fails, everyone's going to die anyway! This is not helping.

To make things worse, all those non-VIPs are getting slaughtered while all this is going on, and that's perfectly okay.

And there's the issue with Harbinger ignoring it all. He could have blown up the Normandy, and killed a bunch of the charging troops with the resulting explosion, and Shepard too.

Yeah I don't like that new scene at all.

Harbinger does improve that scene considerably though. I'm going to have to try the MEHEM and see what else is new.

All they needed was a shuttle/Mako evac. Or just have Shepard order them back TO a shuttle since they are wounded.

Granted, it would be just better if the plot didn't need for Shepard to be alone at the end, but oh well.

It's good that the PC users have done this. I still prefer the original ending, but if this satisfies the people who are unhappy with the original ending, that's awesome.

I find it ironic that after so many months of "we're not just asking for a happy ending" so many complainers are flocking to something called the Happy Ending Mod.

Actually ironic isn't quite the right word for it, I just find it funny.

From what I hear, it solves the Starchild problem. I think people can suffer a happy ending in order to get one that makes sense.
