Sabotage right now has a base cooldown of 14 seconds, before the March 13th Balance Change it was 8 seconds.
I'm looking at sabotage with a +61% cooldown and it's at 7.57 seconds long and one with +121% cooldown is 5.71 seconds long, the last one is +170% cooldown, it's at 4.75 seconds long.
This is in game numbers at the powers screen on the QFI, She really isn't affected do to the cloaks abiliy to override the cooldown.
However the MQS is really hurt by this cooldown because His powers are Marksman, Sabotage and Tactical Scan. Sabotage on the MQS gets in the way of his other powers, if you want use sabotage you really can't take a gun like a Claymore, Saber or a Raider and expect good cooldowns with sabotage.
The Turian Engineer doesn't get hit hard as the MQS, His powers are Sentry Turret, Sabotage and Homing Grenade.
But he is still hurt because because can't self techburst as often as a MQE with Arc Grenade and Incinerate or a HE with Overload and Incinerate.
Incinerate and Overload base cooldown is 8 seconds long. Please return Sabotage to a 8 second base cooldown.
TL/DR
The base cooldown on sabotage is too d**n high.
Return the sabotage cooldown back down to 8 sec please.

It isn't like Sabotage is OP or anything... it's been neutered enough to safely reduce the cooldown.

I'm going to laugh if they ship the turian with the 14 second cooldown or if they lazy mode it and give him the vanilla sabotage.

We've harped on it for a while. I'm supremely confident that Bioware will reduce it. Probably to 10 seconds though, not 8.

Agreed, the cooldown is one of the longest in MP, which is a bit silly considering that in most situations it's meant as a spamable skill (for backfire damage) combined with the limit of 1 hacked synthetic at a time and there's really no good reason to not make it more usable considering the two upcoming kits that feature it. That said I'd prefer they wait until those kits are actually released before making changes to it so we don't have another "vorcha engineer" incident where we have to wait a week to get the updated version of the power on them.

What never made sense was that Sabotage was only on the QFI at that time, and you were likely using the cloak minimum cooldown of 3.5s for Sabtage anyway. I know I was.

The turian saboteur will also have the pre-buffed sabotage.
Effectively making it a power that only an infiltrator can use effectively. In the same way they can get away with a 3 sec cooldown proximity mine, while the Turian Soldier gets shafted. Because he's supposed to carry heavy weapons. And that forces you to choose between proximity mine and marksman. While the infiltrator gets proximity mine and cloak just because.

Yes.
Also rank 5 explosive damage and cooldown could both use a slight boost. Should also cause Scions and Praetorians to explode because screw those guys seriously.
