Garrus x Fshep was handled beautifully I really thought that was the template for all the LIs at least on ship I was wrong...

For rushed romances it would be Tali x Mshep thought they really cut out the potential in this very unique pairing and it shows!

It was a shame that Jack's romance - and the other ME2 romances - didn't get proper treatment in ME3.

The only other LI I tried was Tali and only in ME2 with my MaleShep, since I've never had the will nor motives anymore to go through ME3 a second time with that MaleShep, so I don't know how Tali ends up like as a LI in ME3. The others, Miranda, Ashley, Kaiden and so on... never bothered, not interesting enough. My MaleShep (the same one that romanced Tali in ME2) was interested by Ashley in ME1 but never fully romanced her. When I saw Ashley's reaction in ME2 I thought that it was the best decision I had so far taken for that Shepard (I.E. to not romance that girl).

I have to say though that I was profoundly disappointed with Liara's vanilla "romance" (or great lack thereof) in ME2 prior to the LoSB DLC. When I saw her on Illium I thought "now the romance continues!"... oh boy was I not prepared for what would follow. But the LoSB DLC changed that well enough and over time grew on me and I learned to appreciate every bit of new characterization and personality changes compared to ME1. By ME3 Liara for me (and I know for so many others out there) is by far the best LI in the trilogy mostly due to the fact (and detriment for many) that she IS the one romance option that had the most amount of work done for, and basically having an entire DLC dedicated to her (mostly) pretty much carves the fact in rock.

It IS unfortunate, however, for other LI's to not have received that same attention to details and character development over time especially for returning LI's such as Garrus or Miranda which I believe are the other two "main" LIs besides Ashley or Kaiden, since of course none of those two were LIs in ME2 to start with.

I wanted one play through with Ash as my VS to experience her in ME3....My Shep had one conversation with Ash (about the aliens on the ship)....it was the one and only time he spoke to her...and he didn't romance Liara either...So how in the hell was Ash flagged as his lover!?........So sadly no Ash VS in any of my games.......tis a pity.

Tali-is saved by Shepard,and provides the information Shepard,Anderson and Udina need to get the council on there side,in ME1 she just watches shepard,and is unsure about her feelings for him. Many quarians probably have never encountered many humans,yet Tali's infatuation with Shepard grows has the games progress. And on the Shadow Brokers ship you find out just how nervous she is about Shepard liking her in return,and if you tell her that you feel the same in ME2,she acts genuily like you have made her dreams come true,and she remains loyal to Shepard since then,and supports him in everything he does,they also grow closer when Shepard helps her deal with her trial,and her fathers death

Ashley-Shepard meets her on Eden Prime,the lone survivor of a Geth ambush,then has they talk on the Normandy,Shepard finds her very interesting. A firebrand that isnt afraid to speak her mind,and is very forward of how she feels about Shepard. Then her heart is torn out when Shepard gets blown out into space at the beginning of ME2,. Just imagine the sheer emotions she experienced when she started hearing rumors of Shepard being alive,then being told by her superiors to investigate his possible ties with her enemy. That explains her illogical reaction on Horizon,her emotions are fragmented. She apoligizes to shepard through an e-mail,but still cant face him. Then they get thrown back together becuase of the Reaper invasion. And all of the old questions between them come back,but there love for each other is stronger than all of the mistrust,and they fall in love again.

Aria would be nice, she is mature character.

Allers was also the most complex LI. The devs paid a lot of attention to her facial expression, you can see - through her non blinking and quasi vacant expressions - that she is both afraid and seduced by shepard.

Trust me, I have replayed the game once for each class and the Allers romance just gets deepr and deeper

EDI is the perfect woman. Extremely smart & capable, badass, hot, funny, never cries or complains, extremely rational.

Tali for male Shepard and Liara and Garrus for Femshep, with Liara just beating out Garrus. I tried most the other romance options at one time or another, but found a lot of them lacking in comparison. This seems to particularly be the case for characters introduced in ME2.

With Miranda and Jack in ME3 it was like: "Hi Shep, do you still love me? Ok-good-cya-bye." Which is too bad, since I really liked Jack (though I've always had issues with not being able to romance her with Femshep, but whatever). By comparison, Tali, Liara, and Garrus feel really fleshed out and, I don't know, actually present half the time.

And Shiala, just because. Maybe she can be Shep's green love interest after Thane kicks the bucket.

Garrus and Samantha.  Both have great chemistry, and are very emotional.

I find Liara's to be meh, VS was neglected, and ME2 romances were pretty much ignored, sadly.  I play FemShep, so no Tali or Cortez.

As a note, Aria's kiss left me with the biggest dumbest smile on my face.  Absolutely perfect, dont know if a full romacne could have done it any better.  Easily my favorite of the kinda but not really romances.
