I never played a femShep....so never saw her in action with Jacob in ME2....will youtube the ME3 one now though....you have me curious.

By the way, those three years I waited for hubby, we weren't married, it doesn't take a wedding band to honor commitment.....And from what I hear, didn't Jacob in fact tell femShep he loves her in ME2 if she romanced him?...He was written to be an *sshole in ME3.

EDIT:
Just watched the femShep romanced Jacob in ME3 re-union...she tallks to Brynn about it too...Wow! Brynn's a wh*re....funny the things we miss when we don't play particular story lines, I hadn't minded Brynn until now.

Just saying, I don't take it personally when a fictional character isn't loyal to the fictional character I'm controlling. If Jacob was a real person, nobody would blame him for moving on from someone who's basically on a collision course with death. And Brynn wasn't a wh*re, you only think she was because you relate to Shepard.

I understand why people who romanced Jacob are upset, but that doesn't reflect poorly on Jacob. It's just that as gamers, we have a sense of entitlement afer putting probably hundreds of hours into a series.

I actually think it's kinda interesting that Bioware went this route after conditioning us to have that sense of entitlement. Unfortunately, I think they did it out of laziness instead of just being true to a sense of realism, but that doesn't change the fact that I kind of like it.

P.S. People fall out of love sometimes. It happens. That's why you usually don't marry your high school sweetheart. Doesn't make the faller-out-of-love a bad person.

The fact he cheated is ok, got no problem with BW doing something like that, adds a bit of drama. BUT, what I found bizzare was the reaction we were given, or rather the way femShep was forced to react. When she asks Jacob about brynn and who she is to him he says 'I... We...' then Shep says 'right, I understand'... I'm like Whoa what? You can call him a bastard for forgetting about her but when it comes to the cheating its like 'i understand'? I think we should've been given the option to go full retard on him.

Yes, people do fall out of love and that's fine, it happens....you are right, it doesn't make someone a bad person...it's how they relate this to the one with whom they have fallen out of love that measures and defines their integrity and honor....Jacob is either really thick or severely lacks these two qualities....his approach and dialog were horrendously implemented.

As for Brynn....I do stand by my intilal comment....she knew Jacob was involved with another but persisted in chasing him anyway....that is not an honorable woman, she is a woman of low and questionable standards....thus my biting comment....this one is not about my relating to Shep, it's about my empathy and my sense of what's right and wrong in the real world and the kind of woman she represents.

I don't personally have much stake in the romances in the ME story lines....my Shep has remained a single man throughout....though you are right, I am emotionally invested in my Shep, he became in some ways quite real to me and I honestly cared about his story....in fact this is the reason why he didn't hook up...but my emotional attachement is in my Shep alone, not others.

Liara. Despite the fact that her character went through some weird turns, I still like her a lot. Also, it seems her romance plot got the most attention in ME3 which makes it feel the most ... natural.

Garrus for sure because he is like your best friend til the very end no matter what. Atleast in my story he was.

Miranda. No need for a top five, Miranda is better than the rest anyway.

Unrelated, but my favorite bromance (socratic) would have to be with Thane.

Liara

I found Miranda interesting enough to romance her in a ME2 playthrough, but haven´t imported that one yet. Wasn´t very optimistic after seeing how little screentime she got.
