I'v made this poll awhile back, and I think it should receive more votes.

Should all romanceble characters be bisexual in DA3 and why?, please comment.

If it makes sense for a given character to be bisexual (i.e. it works with their personality, etc), then go ahead and make them bisexual. If it doesn't make sense, then don't - make them gay or straight accordingly. Shouldn't have to compromise the integrity of character development just to accomodate everyone's fetishes.

There not really BI until you initiate the romance area, IMO

Is there a category for "I used to have an opinion but now it's been talked to death so often that I honestly no longer care."?

Because I choose that one.

Blah blah blah, the devs of the game have made it clear what their stance on this issue is, and harping on about it over and over won't make them go back on offering inclusivity to non-straight people no matter how much you whine about it.

I'm in favour of there being a choice of romances available to characters of all orientations. This seems an efficient way of achieving it.

None of my characters or companions were ever bisexual. They have always been interested exclusively in whatever sex my PC was. They've been monogamous as well.

There is no such thing as a gay or bisexual personality. There is nothing about making a character queer that compromises the 'integrity of character development'. A woman being attracted to a woman or a man being attracted to a man is not a fetish.

I rather suffer through few more "incident Anders" things than lose the way it is now completely. :P

"fetish" was probably the wrong word to use there in that context. I suppose I was mostly addressing those "Female Kossith for LI!" and other "<Character/Archetype X> for LI" type of threads. I'm just going to not address your previous assertions because I don't want to completely derail the thread by arguing over semantics (although it's probably headed in that direction regardless e.e). Anyways, I apologize if I offended you or anyone else with my misuse of the term.

I voted 'no' because in a perfect world there would be gay companions, straight companions, bisexual companions, and asexual companions, but I understand why the Dragon Age team has handled relationships the way they did in DA2, and I think it's an acceptable compromise.
Certainly I have bigger concerns about DA3 than whether or not a companion I don't particularly want to flirt with flirts with me.

But your post is *still* offensive. Sexualityhas nothing to do with personlaity. I'd be shy and introverted if I were gay or straight as well. My friend would be the same if she were bisexual or gay. No character development is being messed with by having a character be certain sexuality. Fenris would be the same person regardless of his sexuality, sthe same goes for Merrill, Anders and Isabela.

Ooh, what if depending on your character's sex, all of your followers want the opposite? That would be hilarious.

Java- no harm done. I'm just glad you weren't intentionally being abrasive.

Damn, can people stop making this thread? If you don't like it, just don't choose the option, problem solved. People need to stop obsessed over this again and again. I'm mad now.
