:-O Indeed it is! Thank you very much! I've spent 15 minutes trying arrows, spacebar, whatever on my keyboard to see if there were additional toolbars (as in NWN2, you have small arrows in the screen or you can press the number pad keys to see many) and it got so frustrating! ^_^'
Thanks a lot!

Hm, I must say you've got me interested in the Ser Gilmore mod. I hope he's romanceable by guys though. :innocent:
However, I've watched two or three videos and, while the voice actor is great, the sound quality seems to be rather poor in the original campaign. Does it really sound like that the whole game? It's strange. He sounds wonderful in Awakening. As if he's an original NPC. Not so much in the OC. Of course, I know it's not easy to make a mod like this and I applaud to the people who dedicated so much time and love to make this happen, but I can't help but be bothered by the sound.

Oh, I've just remembered: http://dragonage.nex...ds.com/mods/664 An extra slot for the dog, so that you could take him everywhere and still have a full party. Some people tend to leave him in the camp just because the dog isn't included into many dialogues, despite liking him a great deal. This mod solves the problem.

Ahem, sorry but... who is ser Gilmore? o.O
ok, no, no, stop, don't answer, please. I don't want spoilers ^^
Quest and Legend seems very interesting! Thanks! ^^

I've just found my dog and I'm so happy! I love dogs! I can't wait to have him around all the time! ^^ ^^ ^^

To know who Ser Gilmore is just play the human origin, for some reason he became really popular and his companion mod is one of the best the community created.

Thanks. For now, I'm a human mage. I will consider it for my next playthrough! :-)

Only one mod I wish I had on my first play through was skip the fade. You will no doubt realise why after you meet a certain sloth demon, but since its your first play through you have to suffer through it like everyone else ;)

Ok, I think I'll wait to end the game and then come back here to ask you more info on this :-)

I don't know why everyone hates this part. I think it's fine. Just remember: 21 points must be earned before you leave :)

No need for a mod that remove fade,
but a guide for it is a must, look here

I think none of it, neither the mod nor the guide, is necessary. I went through the Fade just fine the first time. Sure, I probably didn't collect all the points, there is one that is particularly nicely hidden, but the Fade is one of the few puzzles in the game. I know it might be tedious after a few playthroughs and I understand why people use mods and guides, but metagaming during the first game? I don't know. Not that I want to tell anyone how to play their games.

I didn't use any mods my first few plays of the game. The Fade was challenging and fun the first go 'round. I now have the 'Skip the Fade' mod installed simply because it grew old after a while.

My suggestion, for all that is worth, is to install and use whatever fixes appeal to you and leave it at that. If you enjoyed the game and want to do some other origins, then install the customizations and such.

The only reason I personally don't skip the fade is because of my blood thirst. I love killing things, the more the merrier.
Though at times it is tedious to backtrack for a single essence. Especially when you know it like the back of your hand, it no longer remains a puzzle. Only during my 1st playthrough it was interesting and frustrating at the same time. During subsequent playthroughs, it is not really a puzzle, & neither stumulating. But it gives me somethings to sink my blade into. That's my take on the fade, & at the same time, i believe the skip the fade mod is among the best mods.

Guys, please, PLEASE!!! This is my FIRST PLAYTHROUGH. I don't even know what this fade is and I DON'T WANT to hear anything about that. I don't want spoilers, this is a no-spoiler section.
So, please, stop with this.
I am happy to hear about mod suggestions, but I don't want even know which are the names on the World Map before going there myself.
Moreover, no one here has even written "WARNING SPOILERS", so I had to jump here and there trying to read the less I can.
Please, respect my wish of not wanting the game spoiled. Thank you.

I didn't think something like that could be considered a spoiler, but very well.

Anyway, I've found a mod that allows you to change your doggie's colour: http://dragonage.nex...s.com/mods/2981

My apologies. You are absolutely right in asking this. :crying:

Enjoy the game! :wizard:

Ok, sorry guys if I've started screaming [blushing] but... this would be the first game I am able to play without spoilers ^_^' Usually, even with the best intentions, I cannot avoid to look for fanart (drawn fanart, no fanfictions) and still in the image captions there are written spoilers. I don't even know who are the companions (except for 2 or 3 names). So... I'm getting a bit paranoid, I know ^_^'

@ Vanilka: if I remember, you linked the underwear mod via PM, still I haven't tried it, since my Warden actually wears the robe you linked 2 pages before :-D But... isn't it a bit "colliding" with a fantasy-medieval background those kind (also the vanilla one) of undergarment? o.O

I understand. I got a lot of surprises ruined like this. I've always tried to avoid spoilers but eventually someone writes too much or writes a spoiler in a thread title - I hate when that happens. I haven't played the first Mass Effect yet and I already know how the third one ends. And I don't even go to the Mass Effect forums!

Anyway, back to the mods. As for the underwear, I wonder. I mean, the original underwear looks rather modern, as well. I assume that they simply have "our" underwear. Well, girls do at least. Of course, they probably don't have exactly the same things, but still... I might be mistaken, but I don't consider the new underwear lore-breaking as the original one already looks similar, only differing with texture. I guess we should stop comparing DA world to our world. Yes, such underwear did not exist in the Middle Ages, but DA:O is not set in the Middle Ages. Whether or not the new underwear is appropriate, well, we could argue about that, I guess.
With all that said, I would welcome something more... fantasy-looking. Something like the underwear in good old Neverwinter Nights. I might try to make something like that eventually, but I am at the very beginning of my modding career. I have a long way to go before I'll be able to do something like that. I would have to deal with some of the cutscenes where the underwear is not supposed to be seen, too. It's complicated. :?

Yes, my point was just that: even the vanilla underwear seems to me a bit strange for the setting of the story. However, not a big deal :-D
So, what kind of mod are you going to perform? In case, I've ended my 3ds Max classes, so now I can create meshes! ^^

Oh, I don't have any plans just yet. Not really. I don't have have time to learn anything at the moment. I hope I'll have some time at the end of January. Initially I thought I'll just modify some hairstyles for elves because I hate when elven ears collide with hair in an awkward way. If the original modders allow me to do so, that is. I also wanted to make a few usable accessories, but I can't talk about them here because that would be a huge spoiler. The underwear has occurred to me just now as we talked about it. I don't know why, but I really like the idea of making NWN-like underwear for DA:O.
But I can't say anything for certain. Maybe I won't even get to it in the end. I don't want to promise anything.

Hmmm... darling, do you know that for modifying hairstyle you have to modify meshes? That means 3d modelling. That means you need a software like 3ds Max by AutoDesk and a lot, lot, lot of patience. It is one of the most complicate software around :-/
I suppose you should start with texturing (ie: applying an image, like the hair or their colour to a mesh, which is the 3d shape), that is easier and doesn't required any specific software.
Modifying the underwear is easier because you are "drawing" a different cloth over the shape (mesh) of the body or of the vanilla underwear. That is a lot easier than modelling a hair-style mesh.
However, modding is fun, I think you should try ^^
