Oh my god, I absolutely LOVE your Alistair! He's got so many features that are so particular, and you've done such a fantastic job with all of them. Not that all of your other characters aren't great, but he's just... exceptionally wow.

Ok ladies and gents, here I am again with another Alistair type of fan art. This is totally a new style for me but I hope you guys will like it This one comes with a short story too! I haven't written a story for a long, long time so I'm a bit rusty. I hope the story makes sense though! Both the art and the story are inspired by that 80's song Together in Electric Dreams. Oh no, I'm not asking you to give him up. It's just wishful thinking (because really, can you imagine a more enjoyable "paper" doll).
The effort you put into him really shows, though; I've seen a lot of 3D renders of DAO characters, and none of them come close to yours. I admire anyone who can do character renders and create stuff that actually qualifies as art, rather than glassy-eyed, stiffly-posed sacks of walnuts-for-muscles!

He was busy riling up the mage as he always did (the fifth time now, he dimly noted) when he sensed HER nearby. He knew, as he'd always known since the first time, that it was his cue to be witty and adorable within earshot of her. And as she walked up to them, it was also the mage's cue, as it had always been since the first time, to walk away from him angrily. It really didn't matter to him what the mage thought anyway - It was the mage's role to make him the witty, adorable one. In fact, the mage's only purpose in life was to play a supporting role (not that he would say it to the mage's face), and he secretly felt smug with the knowledge.
I only knew you for a while
I never saw your smile
Til it was time to go
Time to go away
Finally he was alone with HER, the new female warden recruit. He eyed her critically. Human. Mage. That might dampen things.
"You must be Alistair," she finally said.
The character known as Alistair smiled. He knew that she was going to say this, and knew exactly what he was going to say in return. Like a well-rehearsed actor he went about delivering his lines while his thoughts wandered to other things - most especially to HER.

She was pretty (then again SHE always made herself pretty), but did that really matter in the grand scheme of things? If there's one thing that he knew in his heart, it was this: SHE was a gentle soul who would never hurt him, who would always be there for him when he needed it. And for that he will always be grateful.
Suddenly the character known as Alistair became frustrated. He yearned to tell HER exactly how he felt, to let HER know how much he had enjoyed her company. He fervently wished that he could go beyond what he was allowed to say and do, but he cannot and that frustrated him. He wondered if it frustrated HER too.

The mage warden suddenly stopped in front of the Tower's entrance. It looked like she was reluctant to go inside. The character known as Alistair frowned. What's going on? Was SHE hesitating? Why? It was only when the world around them slowed to a halt and everything was beginning to dim that finally he understood.
SHE was logging off. For how long he did not know but, as with the first time, he will be here waiting.
The character known as Alistair looked wistfully at her human mage character, which was now slowly disappearing polygon by polygon, and reached out for her hand. One day, he thought. Aww thanks! I do enjoy making this and always made some effort to do things differently from the rest. I'm glad the effort shows!
