Incorrect. At level 5 it is perfectly fine for gold matches.

An Eagle I does more damage than a Predator X per shot.. It also has a longer magazine, better accuracy, and of course, is fully automatic.. <_<

Yeah, the Eagle used to suck and was the butt of many forum jokes, but it's really not bad anymore. Not amazing by any means, but not bad at all. Back in the day there were two or more "Buff the Eagle" threads on the front page at all times. Since the repeated major buffs, this is the first Eagle-hate thread I've seen.

I'd still rather take another pistol or SMG, but I'd say BioWare did a great job bringing this weapon up to par.

It's a great sidearm, doesn't weight much, it's accurate and rapid fire is always a nice thing.

Dunno why people still think it sucks really. Use it for what it is. Now people might say: "DUUH, why you no use Paladin?!" Because it weights a ton! Not very good pair with already heavy guns when you try to keep your power recharge at good levels. And it fires slowly and it has 3 bullets in a chamber. Crap gun for me.

So yeah, don't delete Eagle. Some of us like it.

Just got an Eagle VI and hadn't used it in ages, so I figure I'd give it a go w/ every advantage: Extended Mag, Heavy Barrel, Pistol Amp 3, AP4, and Stability 3 on a GI w/ debuffing Prox Mine. And, not too surprising (only took 5 buffs to get there), it was pretty great.

Now the interesting thing is that I tried my Hurricane VI (SMG Amp 3, Heat Sink, HVB - should have done damage barrel) the next round ... and I think I like the Eagle more? My world is unraveling.

I like the Eagle a lot actually. I use Magazine Capacity and Damage Barrel and use it as a slower firing SMG just holding left mouse button

Try it with the GE once, foo. Amazing things happen with it then.

eagle is great. why the hate?? It's light, you can hold down the trigger and it reloads fast too.

The eagle is an amazing gun if you know how to use it right. I use it on my turian soldier with marksman and it rips through the enemies. Just because you cant use it, doesnt mean it should be removed, because some of us like it.

No surprise, Eagle is much better at range.

But Hurricane is better close up definitely.

The Eagle sucks. I love to trade in my Eagle IV for Hurricane Upgrades. The game is to be fun, how can it be fun when you get **** rewards

Eagle's niche as a fully automatic pistol makes it pretty perfect for a shadow who wants an SMG and boosted Shadow Strike/melee at the same time.

Valiant, Hurricane are such great weapons

The Eagle is good once you deal with the high recoil.

Doesn't have the raw damage output that the Hurricane does, but it's far more accurate and is lighter.

I'd be tempted to call it better than the Valiant, honestly.

I think I said this like a thousand times... The Predator X has a higher damage than the Eagle III and is a lot more accurate. Equip a scope mod on you Predator and forget the Eagle.

The Eagle isn't very powerful, true.  But the Eagle X might have the best damage/weight ratio in the entire game.

Not true.  The Predator X has a higher theoretical maximum DPS than the Eagle III.  But you will never do more DPS with the Predator X unless you can pull the trigger almost 500 RPM.  Can you do that?  I can't, and I think most people can't even come close.

EDIT:  In fact, you have to pull the trigger faster than 468 RPM with the Predator X to do more damage than the Eagle I.
