I think the main problem with the Eagle is that now that it's finally been buffed to be decent people have plenty of other great options for pistols. The Acolyte, the Paladin and the Talon are all pretty clearly better, and I'd at least consider a Carnifex, Arc Pistol, or Scorpion over the eagle.

So that leaves...the Phalanx and Predator as the only things it's clearly superior to. Not a glowing recommendation.

On top of that, I think it's TOO light. You're not gonna carry it AND an SMG since it IS an SMG. It's not really good enough for most people to both carrying it as a backup (MAYBE the odd sniper infiltrator), and casters can usually use a heavier weapon without impacting cooldowns. So, yeah, it's very light, but after a point that doesn't matter.

Using Adrenaline Rush on Human Soldier an Atlas dies in under ten seconds... that's about as fast as you can take one down using a damage spec Tactical Cloak and a Widow 10.

So.. anyone who thinks the Eagle sucks is doing it wrong.... which is no shame, because there are plenty of guns out there I can't get to work and so therefore suck...

played the turian sentinal on gold with my eagle two...

first match i used armor piercing 4 - was good
second match i used incendiary ammo 4 - barely made anything die
third match back to amor piercing - did much better then i did on the first match

mods used: heavy barrel + magazine
gear: commando
pistol amp 3
turian veteran: 4a, 5a, 6b

all in all, it's usable. my finger certainly thanked me

still, a damage & stability buff would be very welcome.

Just stability. If it had the accuracy of the Geth pulse rifle it would be pretty cool. But then the GPR is super light so why not just use that.

And  that really is the thing. There are lots of choices. You either use 1 or 2 setups for everything or you try out different guns.

I just got the eagle not too long ago....i like it slightly better than the arc pistol because it's automatic....throw some mods on it and it shreds enemies...i love the eagle...

valliant is only silver viable (gold if lvl IV consumables are used)
Valkyrie is only silver viable damage is to low, especially vs armor
eagle is only silver viable damage is to low. I do use it on power heavy classes though to fit in the ocassional few shots in gold/plat.
hurricane is good
crusader has its uses

I'm actually looking forward to getting my Eagle to X. Perhaps it'll lose its lustre when I start sticking to Gold matches, but it's a great medium-range sidearm for my casters through many a Silver game. Hurricane is great, but I feel like I have to wrestle with it more compared to the Eagle's very comfortable recoil.

you know whats sad about it though... the eagle has better damage then all the Auto ARs except the harrier/PPR. Pistols actually have better weapon mods then ARs to boot.

Tried the eagle with the destroyer, full mag, ext clip. It still sucks. Just eagle fanboys being happy about it. I'll no longer complain when I never see the eagle again. Or at least until I unlock the 4 more Valiants I need. A vastly superior gun. Take that.
