I liked the arrival DLC because it shed some light on why shepard was relieved of duty in me3 and why the reapers took longer to reach earth but anywho , what was your opinion on it ?

I thought it was good for that reason, although I felt it was a bit short and it didn't feel the same without my squadmates. Still worth it though. :)

I thought Arrival was ok. Not quite as good as Shadow Broker but good enough. I also liked how Harby was replaced by the Collector General if you completed this DLC before taking out the Collector Base.

It wasn't very good. Didn't have interesting combat, (unlike Shadow Broker, which let you use Liara and gave you two great boss fights) didn't have much dialogue, didn't let you make any sort of mjor decision, and had little impact on the overall story.

This, plus it's pretty repetitive because it's basically a solo mission except for a small bit where you have suuport from a temporary squadmate, who is always Kenson. Other missions have a certain amount of replayability because you can do them differently by changing the team. Not Arrival. I found it was getting very samey even before I'd tried it once in each class. I also have a problem with parts of the story's plausibility, which I can really only link to another forum post in a spoiler free area. In short I'd say it's the weakest ME2 playable DLC - yes, even more so than Firewalker (which at least is free). Shadow Broker or Overlord or Kasumi are all better. Kasumi also has some of the replayability issues as Arrivals but at least gives you a good squadmate for use in the rest of the game, a killer bonus power for replays, and doesn't have people behaing like dribbling morons because the writers couldn't come up with another way to inject a sense of danger and still advance the plot.

It's the perfect example of how not to do a DLC.

Because you can't beat it?  (according to your other thread)

Anyways, I liked Arrival more than Overlord. Mostly for th tie-in to ME3 and the 5-waves of enemy part was fun. From best to worst, my DLC ranking is:

Shadow Broker
Kasumi (too short but you get a good squadmate and a nice SMG)
Arrival
Overlord
