I can see both sides of the coin:
Firstly I enjoy solo videos especially the documentary type/teaching type. Stardusk and Caineghis2500's ones comes to mind because when I view them, I don't want to see mobs exploding and dying. I watch to learn. As they verbalize what goes on in their minds that is how I learn
Eg.: When solo-ing always watch your back. Frequency is as frequent as 3-5 seconds perhaps no longer than 10. Previously I would tunnel vision trying my best to clear the clump of mobs in front not factoring being spawned from behind.
I also can see Ashen's argument about tedium. Lets have this analogy: Driving.
Drifting takes skill. Not everyone can do it.
Drifting down a mountain terrain takes more skill (Think Initial D)
When you suggest Level 1, or Respec-no allocate points, basic weapon, no mods, no amps, platinum Aren't you saying this:
"Drift down the mountain race track at night, heavy rain, no head lights, windows wound down, bald tyres, playing the guitar (you steer with your mouth or knees)
and call it Challenging? The self imposed limitations ought to have boundaries.
It's more logical to say use Level 20 Soldier but basic weapons to play. In doing so then we can gauge the strength of each weapons and perhaps synergy with different kits. Of course when I say this I don't mean circumventing it via using Pure Biotic kits where weapon usage is bare minimal.
