Thanks for reading, senor! XD Hehe.. I think a lot of us in the Zevran thread wanted to deck "that guy" after that moment! I'll be honest, getting to do that was one of the main reasons I wanted to detail that part of the game at all. ;D

Reviewed on FF.net but this is a really fun story so far. I have enjoyed Alessar's struggle with his own feelings and your ability to capture the essence of Zevran. Please keep writing.

Ooh, nice work on the newest chapter. I like this one from Alessar's POV; I can definitely understand him being unsure of Zevran's intentions/ feelings (especially considering that Zev seems hardly sure of them himself). When looking at relationships from the outside, things always seems so clear... but when you're the one wading through, things always seem so muddled and unintelligible. It's a good thing Alessar is stubborn and patient... it means he won't give up on Zev <3<3

Thank ya, senor :3  Hehe, there are some parts that feel like they simply must be done with one character or the other... this one definitely felt like an Alessar chapter. XD  They're both confused, but I think Alessar is the more stubborn (or hopelessly romantic) of the two, yes.   Hmm, I should do some part, somewhere, getting into Zevran's state of confusion, though... *ponder*

Well, I've been writing since my last update... I just haven't been working on what I'm supposed to!   Added a handful of new things -- two new pieces under the Net's Stray Strands, and a new cluster of nonsense inspired, in a way, by Awakenings.  Now that that's all out of my system, maybe I'll get back to Knot 14

I've been reading this on fanfiction.net and it was a happy suprise that there were so many chapters. It's a very well-written story and I really like the slow romance developement. It was nice to read it from Zevrans perspective and the post-blight story too.

I forgot to review here before. Lovely update and so well worth your wrestling with it (although - I suspect you had quite a lot of fun in that tussle!). Great fighting - so hard to write I think - and you've made it exciting and fast and not a game of 'twister' at all.



As usual, I love the way you've added weight and depth to the GW/Zev relationship — even though I've played through it a few times now, I'm still waiting to find out what's going to happen next. And I still think Alessar is such a sweety.



Oh, and... well you know this really... I like the way you write, missus.

Thanks, Tara! :3  I did have some fun choreographing the fight -- can you tell I like fighting games? -- but it was the part before that I was struggling with for some reason.  (stupid texty exposition...)  Although trying to picture a detailed and physically possible fight scene while sitting in an office cube... difficult.

Heh, half of the time, I'm kinda unsure what's happening next, myself. XD  Part of the fun!

(And thanks so much! Hearing that from writers whose work I enjoy makes me squee every time.  )

Great new chapter. Interesting that they knew of the ambush before it happened, I'd thought he would react more to the name Taliesin after Zevran's story. It was a nice touch that it was Zevran that got to save his new love from the man who killed his old one. It was also a good fight scene with the crows.

I've (unfortunately...?) glossed over quite a bit about Taliesen's history with Zevran... there would have been a conversation about it after the first chat with Master Ignacio (since he brings up the name), and there will be more in the next chapter, but I couldn't seem to squish it in, here. XD;

Just caught up with your story using the Live Journal links. Wow, you have been busy. I am enjoying Alessar's story a great deal. The Awakening outtake "Mirror, sword and shield" is probably one of my favorites just because it delves into the difficulty Alessar is having without Zev or any of his friends in Amaranthine. My femMahariel had a similar experience, just didn't feel close to the Awakening companions. I haven't played Awakening with any of my other characters yet, simply because I miss the interaction of DA:O.

Ah, thanks for reading further, TanithAeyrs!   The hollowness of being stuck in Amaranthine without one's friends seems to have hit a lot of people, from the comments I've gotten... it makes for a very bleak playing experience, but in a way, it seems to go well with the game itself.  But yeah, I'm still not done running Alessar through, and not exactly jumping up and down to put any other PCs through the ordeal!

Just caught up with your stray strands by reading "Cursebreaking." I like all of the little tidbits you write about Alessar and Zev. They really illustrate the slow progression of their relationship. I thought Cursebreaking came off as wonderfully tender. I liked the way Zev was worried about Alessar's reaction to the implications of the bites.



Also, thanks for putting the links for your gift fics up. They both fit very well into your story.

Thanks, Tanith! The nice thing about having these large spans of time between most of the knots is that I can go back and fill in little tidbits as they occur to me. XD It's interesting that the game sort of forces a Zevran romance to go slow (or at least, to not progress until late in the game), and having a shy Warden kind of intensifies that... it's been fun. XD



I couldn't not share the gift-fics somewhere! I love 'em both and am very grateful for them :3
