Still think that the warden should be the character of DA3, can only explain it through this:

Male Human warden warrior, LI is Leliana, got high approval from each compnion.  did the dark rituall with morrigan, slayed the arch demon. later to Vigils keep saved amarathine, vigils keep still stands and spared the diciple messenger and the architect.

did the amgarack dlc, last one was WH.

In with hunt the warde nsearched for morrigan and let her walkthrough the eluvian.

It just because of that last DLC that i still think that the warden should be the charactrer in DA3. because i just dont like when something is left open to the imagination.

Considering the warden might very well be dead, no.

Get over it. I love DAO and I think the Warden is 10x better than Hawke but still. The story is over, he/she stopped the blight and became a legend.

Me either, but we have to get used to it that's whats in stores for us. I like the idea of Dragon Age having a new protagonist in each game. I don't want to be stuck with one character forever and I'm happy with how the Warden and Hawke played out in the end... well the Warden more.

The warden will never die! Image IPB
Seriously OP, I thought that too but There is a very slim chance of that happening (in my opinion). Maybe in a DLC?

As much as I love my Warden, I agree with Bioware's stance new games equals new protaganists. All story pertaining to a previous protaganist should be wrapped up with the previous games DLC and/or expansions. The upside of this is logic is sometimes you may like one and you can always go back and play with them again in the previous game but when there is one you dislike you do not have to be forced to play him or her again in the next game.

At the end of Witch Hunt i always feel that i have come to the end of the road with The Warden. I find that story played out to my satisfaction and find the ending an apt point to draw a line under that story. Unlike DA 2 where the ending is left open and Hawke's story lacks closure.

This.
I loved being the warden. I didn't really enjoy playing with Hawke...
And I don't think I'll enjoy playing as...whoever it is for DA3...
The more and more they reveal seems more and more like DA2 with some extra stuff. (I hope that's wrong. SO much do I hope that's wrong.)
But the point is, the Warden's tale is over. And so is Hawke's apparently... (But I'm betting he'll be a companion with an imported tone from DA2... Even though people claim that that wouldn't be "their" Hawke... but he was never theirs. He was always Hawke, the player character.)

The Warden's story is (or should be) over. It might have ended at the top of Fort Drakon, through a magical mirror, King or Queen of Ferelden or just walking off across Thedas. It's just how things go.

Now, the legacy that was left behind through actions and companions is not over, and I do hope that there are differences in any Origins characters who are around depending on how the character interacted with them. I would expect a Leliana who was with an Ultimate Sacrifice Warden to be different than one who wasn't picked up by the Warden at all, for example.

I wish they would of made you start a new character in DAA and just had you import you save from DAO for the world state. I was very happy with DAO ended, but then I got to import into Awakening, I was very disappointed in how it ended and the same with Witch Hunt. They did not leave me with much closure on my Warden. If I would of had to start a new Warden in awakening instead of using mine from DAO, I think in the long run I would of been much happier.

I cannot disagree more. I want a new protagonist so damn badly it hurts. I liked the Wardens well enough. They did cool things and generally speaking were more enjoyable as a protagonist than Hawke but I want a new protagonist without any pre-existing baggage.

I want a whole batch of new baggage and new eyes on these situations.

That would mean we would start with a level 30 character. enemies would have to be scaled towards that, of course, and effectivly that would make like the archdemon, and other bosses, look like hardly a threat at all.

I'm tired of this discussion. It's been had again and again. I wish you hadn't disguised it with a thread title that lead me to click on it thinking we might be discussing something new.

But I don't always get what I want.

So now we are all disappointed.

Haha same here!

Personally I found the Warden a bit boring on account of his complete lack of personality, but this was after playing as Hawke first. But even despite my love of Hawke, I want a new protagonist because Hawke's story is done (although I would have definitely welcomed another DLC or expansion). And the Warden's story is DEFINITELY done. Well except for my current Warden; his story isn't done, haha xD

My Warden is off with Zevran somewhere enjoying his life. As much as I originally wanted to continue the character like in Mass Effect, I am happy with how it was handled instead, and would like to explore a new character. He made Alistair sleep with the witch, too, so he doesn't even have a stake in chasing down a child from her, either :P

The Warden is doing Warden things. They should not be getting involved in a war between mages and templars. Its so out of character and the role. The Warden is not a superhero and should not be running all over solving every problem in the world just because.

My warden followed Morrigan and Starchild through the gate. It could be possible to see them in DA3 but I doubt the warden would be playable.

This is a response, not only to OP, but to the "bring back the Warden lobby". The Warden from DA:O/ Awakening's story, at least officially, is over.

A suggestion: The nice people at BioWare kindly provided us a free gift called Dev Tools. We can use these tools and either individually or by getting together in groups create further adventures for the Warden. I don't know if it's possible to create conditions where the level cap can be raised or that a Warden can be transferred into a module as though it were a BioWare DLC, but if it is, goeeee!! Do it!! Make completed modules available on the internet for others to enjoy with their Wardens.

Nah, I think the wardens done enough. Don’t get me wrong I like my warden but I’m not too fond of having one uber awesome character do everything especailly since this isn't even about the darkspawn or the wardens as far as I'm aware. I’d rather be playing different characters taking on different struggles just set in the same continuality. In fact I wouldn’t have played my warden in Awakening either (especially since my main originally did the US until I changed it so Awakening would make sense) had you been able to import the world state and still play as the orlesian warden.
I would like the thing with Morrigan resolved (though I don’t know that they would really be able to do that properly unless they make the DR canon or somehow make a work around to let the OGB exist anyway) but I don’t mind it being left to speculation too much,
