If it said mission successful, then you don't need extraction.

Put me down for one of those mission successful, no extractions on the human engineer.  As much as I'd like extraction, I don't feel like doing that again to move 20 feet.  If only the human engineer could teleport!

If there is a plat solo hall of shame I definitely belong in it. I did it with the Huntress. I was testing a build that is good with a team but didn't take any power bonuses so it made for an ridiculously long solo game. Decided to stick it out though. I also got downed by a prime on my way to the lz so I didn't quite make it.

Well, I got to Wave 10 with the Geth Engineer. But by the time I got to 10 I was down to No Medis, 4 Rockets, and only 2 Ops. I knew the only way I could beat it would be if I got "Eliminate Targets." I got Escort...Got half way through it when staggered to death by a prime. Though I was surprised how well I was doing altogether.

I decided to do another solo and tried the turian saboteur on unknown unknown. I got collectors on Ghost and ended up getting 10 waves survived lol. Video will up in the next few days, the turian soboteur is done.

Didn't you say you were done with soloing Platinum? 

Also, you seem to be getting a lot of 10 waves survived against Collectors, are they by any chance easier on Platinum than other factions?

You know... Maybe they're not the easiest faction. But for sure they're the faction with the least possible difference in difficulty between gold and platinum.

You know... Maybe they're not the easiest faction. But for sure they're the faction with the least possible difference in difficulty between gold and platinum.

Well, in my opinion.

I think they are best for Soldier classes.  They have big heads, and big bosses - generally easy to hit.  Praetorians can be put and kept in hit recovery with enough damage.  The number of Banshees and Phantoms is fewer.  Depending on your class this may be an advantage.  No Hunters to stun you either.

The only problems I have with collectors is that there are combat drones on wave 7,8 and 10 and if you get targets on wave 6 and 10 you have to kill a possessed praetorian 4 times with everything shooting you. Also praetorian wall hax can be annoying.

After dying on wave 8 and 10 with my Vorcha Hunter I need but one question answering before I go again.
What's the value of barriers that a platinum level phantom has?
I'm thinking it's around 3800~4000. Depending on the value I may need to alter my gun selection.

Nth, ive been working on the hunter too, and phantoms are my one only problem, too lol

Well for the fun of it I played on London just now, managed to get the objective done on wave 10 and then die, using my last medi-gel to awaken to a banshee, then to dodge into a phantom sync-kill...

Granted London, not the best map. But I didn't think I would last past wave 4.

And yes, I was wanting to know basically to one-shot the shield, sadly I have to use a rail amp (and heavy barrel) since the acolyte got nerfed where I was using it in my shotgun. Makes phantoms short(ish) work. acolyte, incinerate then 1 more acolyte shot and the DoT from Incendiary ammo and Incinerate finish it.

I might give it another shot tomorrow on a more sensible map ... Just can't think of one considering I'm not overly fond of Giant, I feel like I'm constantly kiting to one specific point, London felt easier to me than Giant :S
