I don't necessarily like the idea of banning setups, but I do agree encouraging variety would be very welcome.

Maybe rank solos with "lesser" guns or on harder maps higher?

Well, the end result achieved is the same. Not ranking specific set ups highly is pretty much the same as banning them.

I just don't want more reegar / giant. As we've already seen the reegar solo, and let's be honest when it comes to certain guns, it's the gun that is doing the soloing, not the class.

I always assumed it was the player who's doing the solo... Someone lied to me ?



About new rules, if I may, I'd like to submit you some ideas/proposals...

First, I'd reorganize a little bit each podium this way :


class :

First : Full info displayed : date, time elapsed, weapons used, ennemy, map. Obvious : who soloed the first with the said class .

Fastest : Obvious too : who was the fastest (full info displayed too)

Honourable Mention : There you can put the most WTFesque combination that succeded solo with said class. It could even be the best vid... Or the one with the most headshots. In short, anything that made you said "Whoaw" while watching. Note that you can add as many honourable mentions as needed. Example : someone soloed plat with a TGI/Mantis and someone who soloed plat with a "Non-Harrier Non-Reegar Stimpack-less TGI" might have both an Honourable mention. Of course, full info displayed too

The others : For that category, only usernames are recorded (w/ link to post or vid). This is where will be recorded all the others who completed the solo with the said class, but without being the first, the fastest, or the most wtf. Because, you know, even if someone completes a platinuml solo with a TGI/Harrier in 2 hours, well it is still a platinum solo. Note that you could place here every solo that was made with a nerfed/modified weapon/class/ennemy/map (I am mostly thinking of all the ones that were made with chargeless Acolyte)


But of course, this is only a proposal. This is your topic and I have not even soloed Platinum.

Hey, I'm just saying that there should be a distinction between console and PC.

One is easy to manipulate, and the other is not.
