Although I agree with you to a point, I feel like this is necessary to offset that rapidness that the solos would be completed.

I doubt I will be able to get a good "acceptable" solo in before the others but this IS an exclusive club. This thread documents the "trailblazers" rather than the "trail followers" based off of its design.  People can still solo Platinum any way they want and receive just as much satisfaction as they would had this thread not come into existence.

It's a hall of fame, you don't get into the hall of fame by scaling Everest as many have done before you. You get in there by scaling it naked while having sex with a Korean super model.

Heh, yes over the top but I believe you get the point. It's still a great accomplishment to solo Platinum but is it hall of fame worthy....

EDI bot shouldn't count as a Plat solo.
Glacier should also be banned thanks to the possibility of the Juggernaut cheesing it.
You need a special award for whoever solos Collectors with the Juggy...

I wasn't trying to be rude but this needs mentioning as nobody is willing so I guess I have to. Platinum solo hall of fame has to be extremly hard earned. Something like N7links 21 min solo or my plat glacier solo vs collectors. Something extremly hard to accomplish. Platinum solos on giant,white, and reactor are becoming too common and not that aww to look at. It's good that people are soloing there first platinum with my geth trooper acolyte build and I am glad for them but to find a place among the solo hall of fame it needs to be on a very difficult map like glacier, london, condor, jade, etc and needs to be what few have done before

Irrelevant, the "Reckoning DLC Rules" pertain only to Reckoning DLC characters. Any combination is still permitted for characters not included in Reckoning.

ok, I have an entry according to the reckoning rules with the EDI bot, but on a map with 0 recorded solos... I guess I have to wail until 28/02/2013 00:01 GMT to post it. I had to resort to the repair matrix feature revive feature 3 times. I could have finished it with my med-gel supply. If you want my opinion on the difficulty of soloing with the EDI bot... It is not as easy as with the TGI or Kroguard...

That is just stupid Cain. If you guys need a thread on a forum to feel all high and mighty with yourselves and be part in a club for mutual admiration then by all means go ahead. I was pretty comfortable with this forum thread just being a record of what class people had managed to solo platinum with, not anything else than that.

You make this thread sound like it is actually something important and that anyone in it is supposed to be a very special player by saying it has to be extremly hard earned. Instead of being a collection of data for which classes had been used to complete a platinum solo and which hadn't it has now instead become this forums biggest e-peen thread, congratulations!

And the way you rub it in like you are an extremely good player because you have to do something extremely hard to earn a spot in the "Hall of Fame" is just embarrassing. For most people it is extremely hard to even manage to do a Platinum solo in the first place, you have just got used to it so that you need different ways to challenge yourself, so what was once extremely hard for you is not hard at all these days but your comments disrespect a lot of other players who just haven't got the time, energy or skill to ever get to your level and quite frankly that pisses me off.

When I first started playing this game I never thought that I would one day be able to easily solo Gold with level 1 characters or solo Platinum with 10 waves survived. These days I can solo Gold with any class and weapon with my hands tied behind my back and Platinum doesn't feel hard at all. And fact is Cain, probably all you have ever managed to accomplish in this game I could probably do better, and yet I don't want my videos in a thread like this and I turned down the invitation to join your precious elite Spectre Group. Why do you ask? Because even though I know what I am capable of I don't feel like I am anything special because of it, and I definately don't feel like I have to disrespect other players who aren't yet at that level or feel the need for appreciation from others.

Sorry for my little rant here, I just got pissed off by the amount of "elitism" in what I just read (and it is not the first time, hence my many troll threads on this forum making fun of elitists). If I was a new player coming into this forum reading here I would lose all my respect for you guys straight away. But hey, I don't know how it feels to be the center of the universe like you do, so maybe I should just keep my opinions to myself.

Annomander's New Rules: Only accepting solos that fit my arbitrary and horrible set of guidelines on things that I find acceptable. Apply today!

Solo's are not really my thing, so no. I wouldn't see much issue using that great gun on multiple classes. His rules were introduced to encourage "variety" according to him not because of eas of use/difficulty (I do believe that factored into his decision making) I do think  the main reasoning was his own personal code of ethics on what is acceptable and balanced in this game. Why we are at it would should ban the entire Inf class, Geth Trooper, or any other classes that is high representation. His reasoning is bad.
