VAC is the way cheating should be handled.

The cheating (and cheating butthurt) in this game is a joke.

Jay would have received no information on why he was banned. Ergo, his story about modding a left for dead 2 server is too convenient to be true.

Valve's own pages say that no reason is given for a VAC ban being administered.

Fair enough that clears some things up, but on that screenshot their is a "conversation" between him + VAC 
stating why he was banned?

Don't aimbots target the head ?

Because I've seen his kill cams on Call Of Duty, where headshots don't matter, and he wasn't even aiming for the head most of the time.

In fact, I regularly had more headshots than him

They don't discuss VAC bans, but they can still tell you what is a bannable offense and what isn't. That is all.

I've seen him miss in ME. Even enemies who were in cover.

I've seen him having to fire his instagib rifle three times in Unreal Tournament to kill me.

I've seen him get slightly worse when intoxicated.

How would that be possible with an aimbot ?

Obviously, if you're using an aimbot, you just have to record yourself using it and upload the vid on youtube for everyone to see. Makes sense ...

Besides, it wasn't a full game, he just kept the best parts. 

I've been a shooter admin since the later days of MOH Spearhead, and found that I do not give much of a flying **** whether or not someone is cheating.  In BC2, those who I found cheating had pretty consistent attitudes, both those who are asses about it and those who are not.  In my experience, Jay does not fit the attitude, and that is a major thing I am going by to be honest.  Does he cheat?

You would be surprised at what people can do, and it is within our nature that if we are more than confident in our ability to do something, we find it *very* hard to believe that there is someone who can do it better

One of the admins I played with, and he was very good at a game, was the first to call "hax", though he was wise enough to stop it after a few games with a player.  His cheat radar was pretty accurate, but damn did it have its share of false alarms. Your skill at these games may be clouding your judgement on the matter, Annomader.

Furthermore, on this game in particular why does it matter?  If someone is cheating for e-peen reasons, why do you need to be pissed off?  Sure, you won't be able to beat his plat solo times, but if you are convinced he is cheating then who do you need to prove yourself to?

You can get the best time you can, and know privately that someone had to cheat to beat you.  When you think about it that way, should be more tolerable.

That said, I have a hard time believing that Jay cheats; even if I am wrong, it matters little.
