That last update was terrible... crash, crash, crash, crash... That new overlay is buggy as hell. Why would someone in his right mind release such this update. Game is rendered uplayable... poor PC 'master race'

nope, I am not the only one... Other people are getting screen freezes  or crashes after the update too... I have asked around before posting

as always.. my origin broke down after update for some reason the exe keeps disappearing after updates. Happens everytime.

No crashes here, but ME3's performance is sent down the tubes by the new Origin overlay.

Thankfully, turning off "Origin in game" in Origin settings works for that issue, at least for me. You can still message & invite/join games by Alt-tabbing out to Origin on the desktop.

I blue screened but wasn't sure what it was. I know ly mass effect keeps opening with no sound and it is driving me nuts.

Yeah, I think we can all agree the latest Origin update is half-baked. (Though it does at least seem to have fixed my problem with it downloading all my ME2 DLC whenever it starts, that's welcome.)

I turned off origin in game on the last update. Doesn't fix everything, but does seem to reduce some of the problems. Yesterday, saw the frame rate issues that others have complained about recently. That was a first for me.

dont use origin in game then. I never do and my game still crashes sometimes. just tough it up. we're all there.

I can confirm this. Been getting some weird and sometimes repeated crashes trying to start the game after the latest patch. It's not unplayable, but it's yet another issue that happens way to often to be overlooked.

My other games and Steam continue to function near perfectly, so it's not my rig.

At least on this I can't say I have had an issue at all, I can ALT+Tab out as many times as I want and it hasn't caused me a problem yet.

Back on topic though, Origin is total ****.   But I have not restarted Origin for awhile and I don't remember an update the last time I did, so I guess I will avoid doing so for awhile.

I keep the overlay running because I actually use a mic in-game, but I was having server connect problems before and after the update - not crashes. I've stopped launching Origin first to run the game from it's interface, and just launch ME3 exe instead, which opens Origin anyway, but it feels like a lighter running mode since it's not trying to load ads and friend's lists first. Seems to have helped my problems so far.

I haven't had any alt-tab or overlay issues so far. I've been playing since launch as well.
But I do run ME3 in boarderless window so that might cancel out any alt-tab problems and a rarely use the overlay.
