 Saw one just yesterday on Reaper Gold. We kicked him right away.  He's too awesome for us, he's got no buisness in Gold, anyway.

Not to call anyone a liar but I think it is mathematically impossible to get that banner on day one. I have been plugging away every weekend at challenges and after work when I can. It takes time and work to get challenges done I don't see how you could do it.

Only two left (just 340 more waves, or 34 games). Had been holding out for specific characters.

Been holding off on finishing my outsider, since I plan on using the drellfiltrator. If that doesn't come out this week I'll just use someone else though.

Was waiting on the huntress to finish commando but she's broke, so I'm currently doing that now.

Pretty much, I hate promoting. It forces me to play on silver, which I normally wouldn't do because I think it would be selfish of me to bring level 1s to gold. Some people can top the scoreboard with level 1s on gold+, but I know I'm not one of those players.

As soon as I get that banner, I will never promote ever again.

At my rate, I'll be the first to have it in my neighborhood. Given the fact that no one in my neighborhood plays, I'm impressed.

I just use a banner that goes well with my playstyle / looks pretty..

Hence I usually change between Mathemagician, Death Guard, Hardcore & Operator. I am aiming to finish Machinist...I like the look of that banner & I love playing as Geth & Quarians...

I got lucky and had some friends that let me play my level 1s in gold with them quite a bit.  In pugs it isnt a good idea so had to do 1-2 games of silver first.  I will promote the class that the new character is on Tueday's since with the character cards its usually back to levels16-18 with even playing.  Other than that no more.

So if we assume everyone above me has it, and maybe a couple below we can say that maybe 300 ish people have it on xbox platform (give or take). Add PC and PSN and you come up with roughly 1000 people have the banner. Some may not wear it and some may not PUG at all. So the chances of actually coming across one in a pug......still very very low.

Im 232 right now and still don't have it.  I switch classes a lot so normally don't top the score board thus I'm about a million short of hardcore which is my last.
From what I can see for Canada there are 6 with it.  I'm hoping to be 7 this weekend.  I could be wrong but haven't seen anyone with less than 10000 cp have it.

Oh there is PLENTY  of reasons.  Let's just say, a lot less hassle than putting it on.

I have it but don't sport it as showing +22,000 in challenge points is gaudy enough.

If I had it I wouldn't wear it. Other ones look better. I like the N7 Banner, personally. The promotions one.

Only need 1 more challenge to complete the banner. Personally will not use it, the name is too loud and obnoxious for my taste. I'm not the best of the best and I don't want to claim to be one.

If you did the minimun to get it you'll have around 10195 points.  Most will have at least 12-15k by the time the unlock it.

^ Right decision. If I had it, I wouldn't touch the thing.

... if it had femshep on it, I'd consider doing the promotions to get it, but since it doesn't I have no interest.

BTW, Bryan, this is me trying to keep you guys aware that some of us are really irked by your guys dropping the ball re: shep's gender on banners.

To the OP: there's at least 4 people on my flist who have it, maybe more by now? At least two of them had it the first day it was possible. It just depends on who you play with.

I found out that you should always chat about it with your friends in game when someone with that banner shows up. "LOOK. WOW. SO. AMAZING."

They'll then have some ego or reputation to uphold and spending on every consumables you can imagine, so you and your friends could save on those missiles and gels.

Personally, I think the BOTB banner looks pretty bad. MaleShep looks cross-eyed and it's just not a good banner. Once I get Spectre Mastery I don't plan on switching to any other banner.
