Please bioware say this isn't true cause I won't be able to buy the next gen systems for a couple years after it is real eased please tell me this rumor is false. It said EA said it but they could be Lying right right

There has been no official news that I've seen that said this, only rumors. Also, if it comes out in 2014 and is meant to be a next gen game then that is even better. Please link your sources, by the way.

Games nowadays have gamepad support. Play it on the PC, and just use a gamepad. You get the comfort of your controller and the flexibility of the PC.

That, basically.

The only problem with that solution that I can see would be importing saves, but I'm sure you can get some off the web somewhere.

Calm down. Chances are it'll be released on both next gen and current gen consoles.

From a brief perusal of the sites, they are all based on that one former employee from China. Multiple sources citing the same individual does not give the initial claim any extra credibility.

Except BioWare games haven't supported gamepads on PC. You can find ways around it with Mass Effect, but not really for Dragon Age.

This is a good thing, I don't see why people are complaining. More dev time and PC version won't suffer from PS3/360's limitations.

I hope it's true.

How old are you, OP? Just start saving or something because there's still 2 years left.

Read this article.

In it Mark Darrah says that Frostbite 2, the engine being used in DA III is scalable. That means it can be supported by PC, next gen consoles, and current gen consoles.

While this is no guarantee, I think it at least speaks to the possibility that we will see a version for the PS3, the XBox 360, and possibly even the Wii U. I wouldn't get all worked up about it now. Wait and see what BioWare has to say officially in the Spring, not what some articles founded on rumours and speculation are saying.

Your welcome. :)

Even if it is true, it doesn't mean the PS3 and 360 are being excluded. It might simply mean that more time is being allocated to developing the next gen version. As a current gen console user, I'll be happy to play a version that's missing some extra features the PC and next gen versions will boast. Hell if it means that current gen versions are devoid multiplayer, I won't shed any tears.

I really can't see EA completely snubbing the current gen users either. That's a lot of lost profits. Not everyone is going to shell out money to buy a new console just to play DA III, unless the next gen consoles are reasonably priced at release and I don't see that happening. I'm not planning to buy the 720 until at least a year after it's been on the market and the price has dropped.

Very good point. Money talks, after all.

It's too early to speculate on whether or not DA3 will be for this or the next generation of consoles. Wait until spring or summer next year when technical details about the game will be revealed. (Remember that there are no next gens consoles on the market at this time and, as far as I know, no company has announced their official release date yet.)

Well, it's just a rumour for now so I'm hoping it's not true. I'd prefer to play DA III on my PS3 since I wouldn't be able to afford a next-gen console on launch. :)

Also. What if the PS4 comes out alot later than the next xbox? That could bring on a ****storm, I think. PS players feeling left out and whatsnot. I bet the new DA game will be released for this console generation, but will be compatible with the next gen consoles.

DAO PC version was delayed for a full year so 360 and PS3 verison could be made.

Unless you're a die hard Sony/PS fanboy, I think they would just get it on PC/Xbox 720.

Indeed.  We get both mods, PC exclusives, and the ability to play Red Dead Redemption.

Ahhhh you silly kids with your worrying about "next gen"... We've been on the gen longer then any other, its time to move on from this 5-7 year old tech. Hell it wasn't even that good when it came out in the frist place. My old pc that was year older then the 360 when it came out ran anything the 360 had faster and better. And it only cost me a extra 200$ more then a PS3 at the time. You could build a PC right now that will out run this "next gen" of consoles with 800$-1000$ if you spent the time looking around. And don't doubt it, the "next gen" of consoles will cost around 599$ like the ps3 60g was when it came out. I also wouldn't be at all surprised if the ps4 cost around 799$ on release, every time they come out with a new console it jumps up in price. Most people by now have upgraded their xbox and ps3 from the old 60gb to 200bg+ by now anyways, so you pretty much spent extra 100-200$ on what, 150-200gb lol? I had 250gb on my pc in 2004. With all that you could easily make or have someone like Ibuypower make a PC for the same cost and not worry at all about "next gen".
