Not sure why I even bother to post here any more. There is no real point considering no one from BW ever replies. So here is an exercise in futility....

Due to the RtO DLC being delayed does this mean that the patch for the 360 will also be delayed?

Hopefully not. We'll just have to wait and see. However the teams are different for both releases so the patch "should" be on target since they were to be separate releases on the same day.

I wonder what broke with the dlc. The need to have their devs stop drinking pepsi at the computers cause moisture of that sort in a computer can be bad juju :P

There is so much spam in the tread, but one of the post talks about a delay with Sony and the PS3 and BW has decided to hold the release for all platforms. I DO NOT know if this is correct, as we have not been given a reason in the OP for the delay, just the announcement. So that reason is pure speculation IMO. I'm not getting the DLC so its no biggy, I'm just hoping the 360 patch will still be released on the 5th. It would be nice if a dev could confirm, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Not sure why they would hold a patch for a different platform as the code would be different but you never know.

Even being told the reasoning behind the decisions would probably go a long way to smoothing things over a bit. No one likes to be left in the dark.

Seriously, no patch. This is just beyond belief. The game has been out for what nearly three months and still no patch. I've had it. Might as well call it a day and demand a refund for this game. I couldn't even be bothered typing up a rant full of swear words. Well done EA/BW if your goal was to make me not care any more about this game then mission successful. What a waste of money...

The day isn't over. Why do you expect a roll over update as soon as the clock strikes 12? That means someone sitting by or a team sitting by to make sure everything runs smoothly in the wee hours.

Only so much can be scripted and bodies have to be on hand to pull the plug. Business hours are generally 9 - 5 so if anything at least await an early evening deadline before we claim the end is nigh :P

What would the 360 patch be fixing? I haven't had any major issues with the game. Someone enlighten me.

Yeah, I'm unable to progress any further in the game due to the corrupted save files that will randomly happen and unpredictably happen. Very frusterating. I tried uninstalling the stone prisnor DLC and then NONE of my saves would load. So its either, delete the DLC and start over, losing 40+ hours of gameplay, OR hope that EA/Bioware get their **** together and give thier fans and $$ providers a solution or at the very least an acknowledgement that they are WORKING on a solution. Or I will just take the game back...get a full cash refund and spend my gaming time where it wont be wasted. I could care less about the $60, returning it is more to make a statement hoping others have done the same. Maybe after receiving numerous returns from their vendors saying "customer says game doesnt work correctly" they will decide to help us out. Either way, any game I buy from EA/Bioware will be done at Walmart since they are very easy to deal with if there IS a problem. Cheers.

I've had no glitches, freezes, corrupted saves,DLCs, or anything of that nature. What am I doing right? Don't know, don't care, just plain glad. Sorry to hear so many are having problems, hope things work out.

Well I have the DLC glitches from the first week.  I have not had freezing or corrupted saves but I also have had the storage error in relation to the EA servers.  There are also a bunch of other bugs that are a bit strange that you may have had but haven't noticed.  And quite a few bugs in relation to the codex (Of Noble Birth, Isolde, etc.)

The patch notes floating around refer to the PC patch, I assume, and mention a fix allowing DEX to properly add damage to attacks. Is this something that will get handled in the Xbox patch, or has this been addressed already in the Xbox version?

I do know that they will be fixing some broken achievements. And for the patch itself, it should be similar to the 1.2 patch for the PC + console related fixes.

I also thought someone at bioware would come up with a patch note days before the release so i had my suspicion of a delay.

I dont care really. Only thing that bugs me is the lack of information.

What happend really?

The PC version has been patch a couple of times. Nearly three months later we are still waiting for our first patch. I think the biggest lesson I have learnt from all this is:

1. Don't buy PC to console ports. You would think this was a no brainer, but I was hoping since it was BW it would be good. More fool me.
2. In relation to the BW part. Never ever buy a PC to console port if the porting was done by a third party. This I only found out after I bought the game. But, I think this has a lot to do with why this patch for the 360 is soooooooo long in the making. Third parties suck.

Hm yes. Youre probably right, Taiko. I also think the same. Next time Ill first browse some forums and wait, even if the developer or publisher are rated "top-notch". Currently we can observe, what top-notch means today. But specially Edge of Reality is deep in my brain. Unfortunately not with good feelings. Im pretty sure, I wont buy anything again from them, even if a Bioware-tag tries to hide them again. I mean, just have a look on their releases so far...anyone ever heard about those games? I didnt. Sorry to say.

Well, all summarized its time to change some of my viewpoints too. If there ever will be a patch, Ill surely download it, but I dont expect wonders anymore. It should be clear, that every title update mainly has just one effect: Youll be able to play new dlc on a retail game. Wouldnt be wondered, if this title update is just about 500kb....*coughs* and time-intense "title update#1" development these days are just to keep an illusion up...

Well see. DAO will rest in my collection anyway. ...but there will be other games in future. Im sure.
