^Nothing really works about ME3's story, when you get into the details. I would just focus on gameplay and graphics for anything to do with ME3.AlexMBrennan wrote...
Why would I want to do any of that? That's like diverting all assets to help gang A take out gang B whilst Godzilla is rampaging in the city centre. It is 100% overpriced. However, if you care about Omega, want to spend time working w/ Aria, and would enjoy a cool action story separate from the Reaper conflict, you will enjoy it.
It worked in ME2 (where you spend the entire game waiting for the Collectors to make a move), but it doesn't work when daily casualties are 2 million on Earth alone and there's important work to be done.

it comes down to profit margins.
you see, with so many people "claiming" they are no longer going to buy DLC (because they are angry at Bioware for whatever reason), Bioware has to charge more to get a profit, to make up for lack of sales.
funny thing is, if so many people didn't plague the forums with "Im never buying another product" threads being posted over and over again, Omega probably would have been priced at $10.
And you know this how? I suppose you're privy to their sales figures? Or is this your own "speculation," blaming those of us who justifiably feel ripped off by not only the ending, but also DA2's dlc and won't give another dollar, me included. Anything I would have spent first at Bioware up until the EC went to fund Project Eternity instead.

Meh, if you like the combat of ME3 then go for it. If you don't, then it's 50/50 on you.
Your choices in the DLC do matter, however someone always dies and if you go renegade, be prepared for a surprise that the forum has been crying for.
I've always thought that the devs favored renegade. Intriguing, but still not enough for even $5 from me to see what the surprise is. If it's not CrispyShep being pulled from the rubble, I'm not interested.

Nah.
Its not really even a surprise.
Though the way it happened and from the visual cues of Shepard's reaction as well as Aria's own, its just Aria feeling horny and loosing a tad bit of control after murder-mind-raping Oleg.

If you like the combat of ME3 you can buy any of the Gears of War games for the same price (or lower) as the Omega DLC, and the combat in those games is a better version. From most of the impressions, even those of folks who thought ME3 was a good game for some reason, the story of the DLC isn't much to write home about.

(apologies, I'm from the UK, I know little of US dollars)
Two Starbucks regular coffees: Eight pounds fifty *(approx)
Lifespan: 30 minutes (approx)
(Consumed on use.)
Omega DLC: Nine pounds.
Lifespan: 3 hours from start to completion (for me)
(+ unlimited number of replays.)
The same nine pounds I spent on Omega, could also have bought two pints of beer, a KFC minibucket, one packet of cigarettes, a return bus journey to my mother's house and back.
Omega gives me far more to show for my nine pounds than any of the above, yet I regularly see people thinking nothing of spending this amount of two pints of beer, two coffees,, or whatever. It's not even an issue for them. In my opinion, the nine pounds, spent on something permanent and substantial (such a sa game DLC) is money put to far better use.

Bioware has the right to decide how much to charge for their products. Customers have the right to decide if they want to pay those prices, based on whatever criteria they choose.

+1.
Even if I personally don't like the price tag on this specific DLC - I still bought it so I can't complain. xD

I'll pick it up eventually though but no rush. The next one sounds like they are getting more writers involved, here is to hoping for a mini expansion, 'story' will be worth any pricetag to me, and that is the difference
