Typically a pre-order comes with worthwhile extra content to compensate for the risk but ME3's "bonuses" were awful.

It's not so much about ME3 or the ending anymore. It's about BioWare. I don't like that they can't take criticism about anything because they cant come down off that mountain of theirs. They're too defiant, and too arrogant. The way they passive-aggressively attacked the community for not liking their ending, instead of accepting they made a mistake...was the same as when DA2 failed. They get all childish. I'm almost 29 years old. I left high school behind years ago.

Joking aside, I have often lamented over how this series will be remembered; disappointment at best, a joke otherwise. A year ago we were awaiting the epic conclusion and now, no matter what side you favor in regards to the endings. This controversy is the only legacy Mass Effect leaves. A damn shame.

After giving a cool $100 for ME3 Collector's Edition for the story to suck, the MP to be boring, and for shoddy DLC? HELL NO.

343 and Bethesda though, they are still worthy.

I meant in the specific about this preorder thread as i remember similar ones from right after ME1 was released.....with overwhelmingly positive responses

See, this precisely why I have still refrained from even beating ME3 (Youtube a lot). The condescending attitude and utter disregard from BioWare regulated them far on the backburner. It cemented they could care less about the fanbase when we are not lavishing them with praise admist any criticism. "We're listening." Evidently, not.

Gaider's crusader defense for a blatant retcon was hilarious though, if only because the sheer idiocy of it.
