One of the most important things in life is being able to learn how to say 'no'.......so I heard.d4eaming wrote...

I can certainly understand the point such as cleaing commercials that portray men as stupid and women as the ultimate home cleaners.d4eaming wrote...
My other point was that it can be sexism to portray women as the more "pure" or "perfect" gender. It's just as sexist to say women are delicate flowers as it is to say they are naturally superior at empathy or something.
Hell, it's too damn late and now I'm even losing my train of thought and even I think I sound dumb now. Time for bed I think.
As for the last point, get some rest. Sleepiness is the enemy of us all, and I still dislike recounting my experience of having to stay up all night working on a school project and my day afterwards.
I blame my coworker calling out and then me agreeing to do a split shift x_x Why can't I say noooooo I don't wanna. But I like my job even if it makes me want to hurl fish tanks sometimes. And then it takes OMGHOURS to wind down and sleep even though I have to work in the morning and I end up arguing on the internets and growling at my computer screen.
Okay, not growling as that would be entirely unfabulous of me, but at least scowling severely and gesticulating angrily.
As a man, DA3 having mostly female writers is awesome.

It can be sexist to elevate women up into something "more" than men (the whole putting them on a pedestal thing and acting as if they are more pure or innocent or whatnot).
I know, I am not doing that. I am saying its good we have something a little different (potentially).

i would even add that the gender of a writer does matter as much as he or she prefers cognac, bourbon or whiskey.
The skill of the writter is to make you realate to what she/he wrote.
in the absolute i totally believe that the "perspective" is utter bullcrap and does not stand to reason.
there is no way that solely based on gender a woman perspective is somewhat more insightful than that of a man.
The relative value of the perspective and frightfulness should only be based on the individual regardless of the gender.
All that being said, we are not living in an absolute..
Western societies are mostly male oriented, and despite my own constitution (i am French) stating that all human are born and should remain free and equals women only got the right to vote in 1944
Even in Scandinavian countries at equal qualification for a given job women are paid about 20-15% less than a man.
http://www.pay-equity.org/ for the US.
and we could continue with pension, position, promotion etc
how many countries does have statutory maternity leave for men?

nope there are physilogical differences but it is not a reason to be treated differently.M25105 wrote...
Is this one of those threads where people try to feel good about each other by 100% PC and claim women and men are totally identical?

Yep, due to the way society forces boys and girls upbringings differently.
Which is why more variety of gender is good and more women is not something common in the games industry therefore it is a good fresh new thing that could help!

And that's how it should be. Men are men, women are women.

Wrong. Some men are more like women, some women are more like men. Why shoudl the be forced into roles predefined by people from the 1900's?

Some? I think you're confusing the tiny minority with a bigger number. Men in general are different than women, just as women are different than men. We don't think in the same patterns. If you want to see that as a negative then that's your issue of not dealing with realities. You can list any example you want, about gays, women who are soldiers and all that, and I'll just tell you that those are exceptions, not the rule.

I think it's a great asset to have the writing team that we do because they're typically awesome. Yes writers, I am totally being nice so I can steal your scorpion candy.
