Sometimes, when looking at certain cinematics it looks like they just copied everything male and just tweaked it a little bit.
"Pfff, we still need to change some meshes, but the game is about to be released... Hmm, sacrafices will have to be made."

However I cannot understand how some people point to Mass Effect as being any better in female figure departement?
Seriously I always had huuuuge problems with Shepard's figure - to me she looks kinda hunched lacking a better word to describe that and her bossom surely looks as it started it's journey south a few decades to early.
So while DA females still have some issues to me they look way better than poor Shepard.

Then again, that may also have to do with the fact the way they chose to do hair means it's stiff as a board...

The collar bone thing is weird looking, sometimes it almost looks like a 2nd set of cleavage. And you definitely have to pick a max thickness neck. I agree on lack of hair styles. None hang quite right and most are ugly.
But my biggest compaint for the character generator would be the portrait feature. My portrait looks butt ugly compared to the model used in game. It's a single player game, they could have easily bumped up the portrait quality to match the model.

Actually, nobody has said so and perhaps it is just me, but the main strange thing I find about the female character models (I've only seen Human and Elves not the dwarves) is their walking and running animations. While the male characters walk and run quite naturally (to my eye), the female characters appear to be quite stiff in comparison and look a bit awkward. Is it really just me? if not for this I might have already tried out a female character (well, I probably will anyway, but the walk and run animations annoy me a bit lol).
YES OMG.

I agree on most of the points metioned here and especially hair options and the stiff female figure.

What was with the hunching? Isn't she supposed to be in the military?

Did all women in the middle ages cut their hair with a dull knife or what? And then comb it with fish bones? lol. Can we at least have a small patch for more hair options?

I don't really care about having big boobs, big hips, or even big hands ..as a matter of fact, big hands are used to slap the heck outta Loghains face! But the HAIR! C'Mon! Really?!

I second this.

I seriously doubt they will fix the hair issue with patches or expansions, as previous Bioware games have shown, BUT there will certainly be amazing mods made by fans that will provide more hair options. Just give it a bit more time.
As for body shape...I think the females are pretty, to tell the truth. Again, you're an adventurer. How are you going to smack around darkspawn if you don't have biceps and strong legs? I do agree the running animation is kind of funny though.

But my main disappointment with the character customization is the lack of decent hairstyles as many others... and the few choices for eye shapes. Perhaps some more ear customizations would be nice too... like being able to stick them out more... so that elven ear could stick out of their hair...
But I have to admit, this character creation system is still a big jump from the set faces from NWN2.

It's probebly like a Samurai thing. Where having their ponytail cut is a dishonor?
