I understand most of these are not serious, but this really needs to be said. Time for a bit of copy and pasting.

Something the BSN seems to have a lot of trouble with understanding is that settings and characters are not stories. "Miranda on Cronos" is not a story. "Hackett on the Crucible" is not a story. Yet that's probably what 80% of the DLC ideas I hear consist of.

People seem to think that if you bring good settings and characters together the story will write itself, and automatically be great. Such as bringing Miranda to Cronos. Nevermind that making quality stories depends on coming up with and executing conflicts and themes, which is difficult to do.

And look here?

Palavan and Wrex.
Dakunna and the Mako.
Illium and a batarian squadmate.

Yes. Omega is a very good example. It has an interesting setting and interesting characters, but suffers from a lack of driving conflict and themes.

Palaven and Irune could be used to explore the dichotomy between the ideologies of abandoning the notion of war entirely (Irune) and forced military service (Palaven) under the pressures of a real and unavoidable war. This could be explored with contentious characters who challenge societal norms, like a Turian imprisoned for refusing service and say a Volus Senator who has argued for a long time that Irune should have a standing army...

The story of the Turians and Volus is one of a dichotomy between these ideologies, and that's a theme that can be expressed in a way similar to the Krogan/Genophage and Quarian/Geth societal conflicts...

The Hanar culture revolves around faith, and a story on Kahje should really be a story of religion and tradition, and dealing with a crisis of faith...

The batarians have vital intel from their time studying the dormant reaper, information that could help the crucible affect them more and the forces fighting them find a weakness. Shepard is tasked with aiding in retriving the data, and is joined by a batarian SIU veteran. They head into one of the hottest sectors of space to get the data, battling indoctrinated batarian forces and reaper forces in order to make it to the facility where the reaper was studied and recover all the information. As a possile bonus, they can also destroy the reaper that's inside there, or maybe talk to it and find out information on why the reapers are doing what they are doing(Would help it affect or tie in to the rest of the game in some way). The dlc would offer a glimpse into the batarian outlook on the galaxy as well as showing some of their history and culture from a more personal view. It would also act as a means to resolve the batarian human conflict that was set up over the last 2 games.

Hows that sound?
